I am sure you are correct; however, much like the reason why I got a loaded HPP instead of a mid-optioned GT was because I valued handling and all the gizmos over straight line acceleration. That is just me.

In a day when so many cars come with hardly any options, it is a joy we still have an affordable, compact, gorgeous coupe/convertible that is performance-oriented . . . with options all the way from entry level to fire-breathing.

It's looking like the new Z gained a couple hundred pounds over the last. A shame, but typical.

Still, it's lighter than these pigs we know as the S550....

batt volt in a dedicated dial? Talk about the most useless gauge ever! How about coolant, oil temp, diff temp. And turbo RPM, yeah like anyone gives a damn. I wonder if there is a Nissan-Scan that can retask the gauges to display something actually helpful.

The new Z or Subaru BRZ are the only two cars I would even consider if my Mustang was totaled.

im not sure how you even put those three on the same level…

The 90's 300zx was my favorite sports car as a child and going into adolescence (thanks Gran Turismo 2 for showing me that final Japan only refresh for the Z32). This Z...it definitely looks better than the 370Z, but at this stage of my life I'm more excited for the prospect of a "Mustang sedan" with a V8 (I know, blasphemy!) or a traditional Mustang with a V8 being my last owned ICE vehicle. And if they do offer a hybrid V8 with AWD on either, AND it looks nice...good luck convincing me to seriously consider owning anything else before 2035.
