So we have confirmed a Base Sport curb weight will be 3,485, about 220-230 less than the base Mustang GT.

While it's making about (in AWD form) 370whp/390twq. About 35whp, and 8TQ less than a stock 18+ 5.0. May be a little closer if the Q50 I'm using for comparison didn't have AWD drivetrain loss. Thats 200+lbs less is going to be a HUGE factor in comparison depending on how the S650 weight turns out. I would not be amazed if is a very close drivers race 400Z vs GT. Throw in a $500 boost tool and the GT will still have a 10-15WHP lead, but will be down by about 50ft-lb in comparison.

which completely erases 31HP worth of deficit. So the cars are essentially identical, modulo chassis and suspension engineering.

Not a big fan of 21st Century Nissans they have lost their way.IMO

They need to bring back a car that encapsulates the essence of the 240Z.

Not a dull 370

Agreed, would be nice if they made a new car from scratch not a redesigned 370z

I like these, I do believe these will definitely steal some sales away from the Mustang. From the photos the materials look to be quite nice for the interior.

Nobody gives a damn what stupid name they use to lie about it's ancestry.
The design is totally heritage, 240Z front, 300ZX Z32 rear, I hope most here know that. I’m holding back cuz the performance still won’t hold a candle to my PP2 on track IMO.

I like the new bumper option but as much of you have eluded to, the fact that it's another 370Z
with modified components is a little disappointing. I know I sound ridiculous being that developing a new chassis takes massive investment but companies like Nissan and Dodge have had ridiculously long product cycles and it makes me wonder why do people even want to buy a 12 year old challenger or a 14 year old GTR chassis. That's just me though.

The mashing of elements kinda throw me off.

I kida of agree about the track statement too. Of course, driver mod can overcome a lot of deficits.

The orange is a Japanese concept, yellow on background is the Proto Spec US only 240 being made.

The US versions being shown all over the country is like one I went to see at Anaheim last yr. This is the Seiran Blue
