it's a contract manufactured item, as long as Supra is moving numbers to keep the line profitable they'll continue it. The Z4 is long in the tooth and if goes away the great unwashed masses won't notice and not even Supra buyers will know or care that a sister car even existed and has then vanished.
I wouldn't put it past Toyota to just buy the rights to build it and license any underlying technology.
