Hi everyone, new to the mustang world and just purchased a used 2018 mustang 10 speed auto with PP1, red leather interior, heated cooled seats, exhaust mode, sync 3, etc. Got the car with 10,000 KMs (6,200 miles) for $43,000.00 Canadian even (31,914 usd). Very happy with the price as the MRSP is $57k Canadian (42k usd).

Coming from a Focus ST with full bolt ons and upgraded turbo (330whp 400wtrq 2,900lbs!) . Looking forward to the V8 world.

Any suggestions for first things to do? I asked the dealer to not wash or detail as it, will be ordering my own stuff from chemical guys today, unless you guys suggest another product?

For mods I will keep it stock until the warranty is up and do small things like dash cam, custom plate, maybe wheels.

Car is going to be a garage queen/date night vehicle and used on the 1/4 mile.

Any issues to look out for? On my Focus ST, fords paint was my biggest gripe.

Looking forward to being an active member here

Nice buy! Love the stripes with the red accent.

Former ST owner here as well, seems to be a popular transition! Mine was just filter/time/catback but that car will always have a special place in my automotive heart.

Same here bro, did so much wrenching on that car, was a lot of fun and learned quite a bit.

First mod: Steeda full "Stop-the-Hop" kit.
Thanks

Interesting, the Canadian dollar base prices are higher than US, but the options are cheaper. My 2018 base GT 39180, but 401a 2200, and PP1 3,995, all in USD. "Active valve performance exhaust" on the sticker is an extra $895. Quad tip was included with every 2019 GT in US at least...It would seem kind of weird to make it an 1100 option in Canada and not include the active valve, too. If you don't have "quiet, normal, sport +" exhaust options when you hit the pony button, you don't have active exhaust."

Those marketing and pricing MBA types surely have their reasons for the differing base vs. options pricing strategies between the US and Canada. Perhaps Americans spend more frivolously on options compared to Canadians, so Ford Canada has to give a better "deal" on the options, and make up for the profit loss with higher base prices before options.

Home come they charge for quad exhaust?
Yea, just noticed that also. Ford charged $1000 for "dual exhaust with quad tips" which is standard for GTs 2018 up. Is it really active exhaust, or is quad exhaust not standard in the great white north?

Is for the the active exhaust. My mustang that is from that window sticker has the 4 drive modes with quiet, normal, etc.

Yeah I slipped a 16 turbo GTI in between a 14 GT/CS and 15 c7. Traded VW on 18. Had Neuspeed piggy, downpipe, and big a intercooler on it. Ran good on plus 7 psi on E50.
