Yes, if you are referring to 3.0 build 17194 - this is my favourite, no issues that I am aware of. No more wifi pop-ups with this build... :)

There is a newer 3.0 build 17307 - I do not know what this fixes, but it does introduce a bug where you can not set voice commands to be in advanced mode, well you can - but next time you restart the vehicle advanced mode is off again.

(Advanced Mode means that you can issue voice commands faster, as the system is listening to you from the moment you press the button. When not in advanced mode, you have to wait for the system to verbally prompt you for your command - which takes some extra time.)

I heard about the issues with Advanced mode yes, 17307 is the one I heard fixes wifi prompts

I don't see the Wi-Fi prompt issue with 3.0 build 17194 actually, but I did see it with build 17126. 17307 I ran for 2 days before going back to 17194 due to the Advanced Voice mode bug.

I think that Ford have really missed an opportunity to have customers become completely loyal to Sync3 - it should have regular updates and new features being delivered over Wi-Fi as promised. It should have a good range of apps too.
After screwing the pooch so badly with MyFordSucks, Ford has been too busy tripping over its own dick, rushing to put whatever it can get away with calling SYNC3 into as many models as possible whether or not it’s ready for prime time.

Now they add this FordPass clusterf*ck which works in some models but not all from the same model year with only partial, and inconsistent, backward compatibility. And then there’s the stupid dongle thing.

The system as recent as the 2014 Mustangs was best in class at the time - and still a damn sight better than MyFordCrap. How they went from first to worst in infotainment should be a cautionary tale taught to every Blue Oval new hire. SYNC3 is much better, but only compared to MFT. It’s still several steps behind the industry’s best, even in terms of CarPlay and Android integration.

If they’d stop worrying about stupid app integration which doesn’t work with CarPlay or AA anyway and get the core system as robust as possible, they might have something to build upon. Frankly, the Domino’s app does one hell of a better job of ordering pizza easily than doing it through the Nav screen anyway.

Same but I followed the instructions to downgrade back to 2.2 and redo 17276 and skip the versions in between and it works fine. Alternatively You can update your current 17276 to 17307 to See if it fixes it.
I think during the install if 17276 and it prompts you if u want auto update on and if you choose yes it’s where it bugs out and WiFi prompts show up all the time. Or it could be some inherent bug from upgrading from 2.2>2.3>17194>17276 because 17194 worked fine.

Oh and for informations sake, when I had 17276 WiFi bugs my Gracenote version was missing. Reinstall brought it back.

When I try to install the 2.3 version downloaded from ford website it gives me the error code: MEM_ERR03

I tried with 2 different memory sicks - one sandisk 64 GB and one sandisk 128GB formatted exfat.

When I was updating to 2.2 I didn't have any issues. :/ Anybody has an idea whats going wrong?

Also can somebody give me a link for the 2016 non-nav version?

2.3 unpacks voice files incorrectly so it was runs out of space. You have to skip the voice file during install process or go to 3.0.

by the way guys, come to think of it...reason why its coming out on 2018 is because on 2018s theres hotspot wifi in the fords and you will need internet at all times to use waze.. so you will need subscription to have hotspot wifi

You won’t need a hotspot or subscription and it will work all the way back to the 16’s that have sync3 updated to version 3. All that you will need to do is have your phone wire connected via usb. It’s on Fords information release. Supposed to be out in a couple weeks but we know how that goes.

When they mean "out in a couple of weeks" - are they referring to those users who haven't already jumped the gun and self installed version 3.0? :) ... or is Ford going to release a software build that none of the early adopters have managed to get their hands on yet?! :)

I did already install Waze onto my Blackberry Keyone (Android) , and it wasn't picked up as an app through sync3 (I tried with both USB connection and Bluetooth, it did pick up Spotify and Citiseeker as apps though).
