New "Spock Vulcun salute" rims vs. "Borris the Spider"

Does anyone know why Ford stop making the 2015-2108 "centipede leg" wheel and now does the "Vulcan Salute" rims?

Are they lighter? Different size or offset?

Best I can tell they are identical in size/offset and either identical or close enough in weight. Motivation? An updated look to a wheel that's been around since the GT350 was first introduced.

One is cast and the other is spun forged.

The original 10 spoke comes in at 33lbs, while I believe the Vulcan comes in at 31 lbs.
