the 2017 was also a good year. interesting that Shelby used the 2017 platform on the GT350's hmmm?
Because they change all the body parts from the A pillar forward on the gt350/gt500 they stayed with the 2017 headlights to avoid a redesign. The cars are still their respective model year.

What would be nice is if the Team Shelby Forums would be resurrected. Thn there might be some real information at this point.
And he's 5 1/2!
It was a decent forum a few years ago, but after the people that started Team Shelby moved on to Saleen, it started to go down hill, then whoever took over the forum and wanted to update/refresh it, there was so many problem after that with the format and all of the old posts were long gone.......no-one ever brought it back

Miss the Shelby Annual that came out yearly around November/December.

That hood though. So much wasted storage space. I personally don't like the mach E anyways

My vote is a GT500 KR
I don’t know what they are going to call the new model but I do know that they are going to be coming out with a new GT500 model for the last year. I was told to expect a lot. I sent my GT350 out for the SE package and they knew I was getting a GT500 so I was asked about my interest in a GT500 package without anything specific being told to me. I was under the impression that it would be Q1 next year before it was released. I am assuming the Dec 15 announcement will be that model, but I may be wrong. Things mentioned were a ton of Carbon fiber parts and a ton more hp.

Be interesting to see what platform they choose. In the past, when they didn't license out to Ford, their products were expensive but unique. Now that they've licensed out the 350 and the 500, and those are already at elevated price points, I would think a GT500 "upgraded" wouldn't have the same value as the typical GT upgraded to a super snake. The car already has fabulous suspension and aero and brakes, transmission, etc and a blower already. Not saying it can't be improved, just saying the raw cost of one starting out and whatever additional value they could add wouldn't be the same magnitude of upgrading a GT.

If they wanted to be REALLY cutting edge, perhaps it'll be a jump into electric (prior to Ford releasing the first model of true mustang with electric power, either hybrid or total E). (and no, I do NOT consider the Mach-E a true mustang. It's not even in the same class of car, one's a sedan and the other is a coupe).

Looking at the roof , I am thinking it is going to be called the Shelby Mustang Crown Victoria . Ford no longer sells Crown Victorias , so why not ?
