I believe both auto and manual will be available for the 350’s (they all start life as Mustang GT’s). The R’s might all be manual, I need to read more to know for sure.

I can’t imagine Bill Ford would be in line for one of the 36 R’s, especially since it’s an SA product and not a FP product but I suppose it’s possible. As I understand it, there is no collaboration between SA and FMC on this other than SA has access to the ECU from FMC to do the tune for the Whipple. And of course SA purchasing the GT’s from Ford
Looks like you and I are on the same page with respect to transmission options or lack thereof as well as no collaboration between the FMC and SA for the 2025 GT350R.

Do you or anyone else have any idea what the MSRP will be for one of these 36 R models?

With no collaboration between the FMC and SA I am quite sure that one of these 36 GT350R models will be titled as a 2025 Mustang GT 5.0L which is unfortunate and totally different that when the 1965 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 models that had the Ford VIN covered up on the driver's side inner fender and had a new SA VIN chassis plate assigned to each vehicle which certainly won't happen with this new SA endeavor.

I certainly understand that there is a significant difference in HP/torque between a 2015 GT350R and this upcoming 2025 GT350R but when looking back at a Window Sticker for a 2015 Shelby GT350R the MSRP for an Electronics Package example along with OTT stripes MSRP was $66,970 (Ford even threw in a GT350R car cover at no cost) and when ordering a 2015 GT350R Base model the price dropped to ~$64,000 therefore what a deal from Ford not all that long ago!

For those that own 1 of the 37 GT350R models from the 2015 production year it is nice to know that a low mileage, great condition example that comes with all of the important provenance those vehicles are presently trading between $200,000 and $250,000 therefore how good is that based on a ~$66,970 purchase price and in 6 cases was even $3,000 less than that.

People seem to not value the full custom interior, but that’s 10K of it quite easily
I can get a Catzkin leather seat cover kit with embroidery installed for $2,000 max. Did this to our old Tundra when they didn't have the options we wanted in a vehicle with leather.

Someone in SA is reading this thinking….”Note to self, put some inside badging and serial number on the car so everyone feels special about the $75k extra”.
Best $5 we’ll ever invest in this bad boy.

Interesting comparison. Mustang was never suppose to be in the same conversation. Lol

I’d be all for the Tremec DCT as the standard transmission for the Mustang. It’s far and away superior to the A10. I think there would be more than a few rumblings from the manual guys though, much like the initial reaction to the C8. Price of the Mustang would likely go up as well. You can still get a base GT for low/mid $40’s, that wouldn’t be the case with a DCT. Probably starting in the high $50’s/low $50’s if I had to guess.

Regarding volume, the trend is not Mustang’s friend. Granted, it’s more volume than just the GT500 alone, but is it enough to keep the base price lower than a C8? Because a base C8 outperforms a Mustang GT by a considerable margin. And Corvette sales are not drastically different than Mustang sales these days

I like the looks, especially the front end.
Otherwise I’m super disappointed with just a super charged base GT 5.0 with cosmetic Shelby stickers.
No engineering of something special.
Totally overpriced for the 350 and unobtainable.
Way to pop my bubble of excitement

I’m sorry, but what fool would buy this? SA is charging $63k add on to a base GT for a whipple, springs, sway bars, wheels, other minor items, and a decal package. This is nowhere near the Shelby GT350 that Ford Perf engineered.

One could buy a low mileage ‘22 Shelby GT500 for $30k less that will outperform it and look better, while being a much more special and complete engineered performance car.
The kind of fool that likes the car and can afford to buy it. Just like any other performance car buyer including you. Calling out someone as a fool makes you look very, very small.

No they’re really not, but throwing a DCT in a Mustang GT (and the price increase that would follow) would start putting those two in the same conversation. A lot of people are putting the new ZR1 in the same conversation as the GTD, even though they’re still pretty different cars. I guess that’s what happens when Charger/Challenger and Camaro go away

We do realize just many Corvette owners refuse to buy a C8 because it does't came with M6. They do not want a DCT no matter how great it is. All mustangs do. Once again how about looking at what we have versus what we don't. Now a DCT as an option? Sure, but at what cost. And would the number of actual buyers make it cost effective for Ford.

First of all it's Katzkin. Secondly so what. Pick on one piece of an entire package and try and justify how you can do it better? That's super easy to do and totally pointless.

Interior Features
• All-leather seat recovers - $2,000 installed
• Shelby shifter ball (manual only) - $100
• Embroidered floor mats - $150
• Door sill plates - $250
• Serialized dash plaque - $100
• Serialized engine plaque - not an interior part
• Engine cap set - not an interior part
• Puddle lamps (If equipped) -factoey installed already

So by my math that's - $2,600 and you're the one claiming a $10,000 custom interior. Who do you think makes Shelby's seat covers for them? Maybe thr biggest bame in thr leather seat upholstery business. Go-ahead. Show me where that $10,000 in "custom interior" is.

That’s what I was somewhat saying in my previous post about sales trends. Corvette and Mustang sales are starting to become a lot closer than they used to be. So, the sales would probably not make the DCT cost effective unless it was in every car, or at the very least every automatic. As just an option with the manual and maybe even the A10 available, you’re probably looking at C8 pricing as a base price with the DCT and that’s where the comparison starts coming in.

I would’ve gladly paid extra for a DCT in my car vs the A10, although I do think the A10 is just fine. Others may not.

Seriously, who put the $10K number on the interior, Shelby. No they didn't. You're just taking that as gospel because it was said by another poster, Jasonb543.
You're the one who came in trying to shoot down my point. Either prove me wrong or STFU. You called me out here, not the other way around.

None of this car is worth the price of it's components combined. None of thr Shekby cars ever are. You're paying a premium for the shop name, but unlike other shops that have built their names on actual recent performance and in house developed parts, SA is still riding on the wave of their namesake and the only "development" they're doing is new bodykits. All of their mechanical goods re just relabeled parts from other companies. The only cars they're selling that are increasing in value in the last 10 years are the Code Red cars that are mechanically built and engineered by Fathouse.

You know what, you're right. We are both responding to something we do not even know is true. Sorry, my bad. I'm deleting my post.
