Opening weekend for the drag strip in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was a warm one with afternoon temps in the lower 80s, DA was in the 2500-2700 range. It was my first time out with the tune from Ortiz Performance and the FTP cat deletes. I was excited because the car felt like it was performing well driving around town, and I was pretty pleased with the results! It dropped over half a second in ET and gained about 4mph. My previous PB was 12.04 @ 118mph with nothing more than an X pipe and drag radials. With the tune and exhaust work it went 11.49 @ 122mph and I also got to pick on a friends HC Challenger :)

TL97 is my car number, left lane. This was not the race against the Challenger.

Thank you! the best of the day was a 1.74, I'm really happy with how it's leaving especially for foot braking it!

That’s the same tire I’m looking to get. Looks like your proving the shorter tire definitely helps us 3:15 gear guys out of the hole….

I also took my Mustang to the track down in Florida, not as quick as yours, but I still had a blast of a good time!!

Just a warning... The 275/40-17s, don't fill up the wheel well. They're approx. 26" tall, and if you also go with the front skinnies, as I did, you will lose a certain amount of roll out.

It seems to, but I think next go around I will probably go with the 305-45-17 because it still wants to shift into 6th right before the finish line. Perhaps that can be adjusted, but I plan on adding more power so I think the larger tire will be beneficial.

Very respectable for an ecoboost car! Congrats! Do you mind posting a pic of your car with the drag setup on it? I don't know if I've seen a car with 26s front and rear.

Do you happen to know what RPM your shifts are tuned for ?
Thanks

I do have Drag Springs, all the way around, which helps lower it, and look a little better!?? But, I'm still losing roll out. I also have the 3.15 gear, and that's why I also went with the 26" tires. Most Guys on the NMRA circuit, in my class, SST, perfer the 28s.

Reviewing the data log from my best pass, the 1-2 shift was at 7550, 2-3 was at 7480, 3-4 was 7580, 4-5 was 7530, and 5-6 was 7620 which happened right before the finish line.

For this I did have the back seat and passenger seat out. I estimate that to have reduced about 80lbs. I also plan on running it full weight a lot this year. Just depends on how I feel the day before haha.
