Any feedback you can provide? I am torn between these and NT05R and want to buy this week!

I think a lot of us what to know...how much are these tires in the 305/30/20? I haven't seen any pricing yet.

Took them for a quick spin today. Its in the low 60's here, whipple MT82 car on E85, still on the 11psi pulley until this first tank of E85 is gone through, so the car is probably a little under 800rwhp. On the 15psi pulley car should be 850ish to the tire id imagine.

Did a 2nd gear hit on the highway and they did just fine. Had a tiny bit of spin, but they caught traction in 2nd without having to back out of it. Pressure was 35psi, which I will lower down 28ish as that's what I usually run DR's at on the street. I think a touch warmer, lower pressure, and a heat cycle or two and they will fully stick 2nd for me, which is all I was hoping for out of a 305/30/20 drag radial...

Just under $300 a tire.

Just under $300 a tire.
Thanks...maybe the 19's will be around the same price or cheaper. I'm definitely going to run a set of these on the back once I get the Vortech installed in the next couple of months. Looks like the treadwear should be pretty good for a DR, especially if its not a DD.

Based on Jeff's experience, these should work well on a prepped drag strip after giving them some heat and lower pressure.

Are your ET’s are the bias ply version? I’m guessing so with mt82. Are these drag radials only for daily driving?

The 555R2 was a road race tire back around 2005-10. I ran a set on my Terminator for road courses. For street, I ran the R2 on the front and the 555R DR on the back, but for course work put a big set of R2's on the back. I don't know if this is a re-release or if they are just reusing the name on a new tire, but I loved them for track days.
This is correct, Nitto used to have a NT555R2 a while back. This is a brand new tire, meant to pair with the NT555 G2

Please send a price for 305/35/20 x 2
PM on the way Rockstang, my apologies for the delay.

If I understand correctly, the old 555r2 was more road race oriented while the new 555rii is more drag strip oriented. Correct?
