Looks like an Audi R8. Surprised it’s not a Mach 1 livery

Interesting... looks like the 7th Gen will pull cues straight from the 6th Gen GT500, which leaves the GT350 to retain its identity.

it looks like 6g shelby gt500 not 7g mustang i think we have been had!!
Yeah looks like they’re just taking their styling cues from their current halo car and nothing more. There was about a 0% chance they were going to do anything 7g related on a NASCAR reveal versus a reveal specifically for the Mustang.

Meh, the GT500 front end is a bit overdone but to me looks better than the 18+ bumper. The Mach 1 bumper was an improvement but still has some weird angles. The super snake bumper (before they redesigned it with the winglets) was the best of the front ends imho, besides the GT350.

Looks like your common smooshed face nascar skin/front end in the GT500 style.

I don't think what NASCAR/Ford was advertising as the next gen has anything to do with the S650. It has to do with the NASCAR next gen which is a return to making the cars look more original to the stock vehicles. This is a preview of what the 2022 race cars will look like, not the S650.

It's a real disappointment that this had nothing to do with the S650 Mustang. First of all: why is it that whenever Ford does the Shelby Mustangs for their stock cars, they always give it a regular pony badge instead of the cobra logo? And second, this look nothing like a GT500. They should just go back to letting carmakers build their own car bodies again instead of the cookie-cutter body that NASCAR builds.
