Here was a rumor a while back that GM was going to start offering a v8 for cheaper, I guess we can assume this is it. I wonder if Ford could drop a few things from the base GT to meet that 1.5k lower price. Maybe make Fogs, spoiler, and powered seats all options.

Front end looks like Predator. Camaro just doesn’t work for me.

Mustangs seem to be selling well, I'm not sure that is an incentive for Ford to lower the prices.

When you have the best all around car in the segment? Nope.

I think it's really nice that they listened to the fans and finally bring the fixed frontend to production. Of course they surely doing this for pushing sales, but still it's good news and this will help selling the SS models.
There were rumors about a new entrylevel V8 Camaro for a long time, nice to finally see it. The LT design with V8 engine is also a nice choice for people who really don't like the SS models. And the MSRP is pretty good too

A good competition is key for all of the 3 muscle cars to get better and better. Ford stepped up in terms of performance big time with the 18 refresh. Camaro 7 now has to increase visibility and daily value. Honestly, a Camaro for the weekends and a Mustang as a daily driver would be the perfect combination to me :like:

GM is offering the LT1 trim that is lower than the SS but will still offer a V8, and it undercuts the base Mustang GT by about $1500.

Anyone think it will
Impact sales of the Mustang?

I agree, Chevy and Ford people are brand loyal, Money not that big of an issue when you get above 30K mark.
This might make more people wanting a Camaro go for the V8

Black LT1 fender badges, SS hood, 6 speed standard 10 speed optional, all season tires on 20x8.5 inch wheels. I think that about covers it. It will also have less available options than a standard SS. I think it may impact sales of the Mustang, but not in any significant way.

so base stereo, base seats, that sort of thing?
I know a lot of people who'd be interested in that kind of car. Not a camaro, just a base with a v8 and auto
