Agreed about the G2s. I may end up with a 285/35/19 front Mich PS4S and a 305/35/19 Mich PSS when it come time to change tires. I heard nothing but terrible things regarding the G2s, not to mention they weigh a ton.
I ran the Nittos all last summer, about 5k miles, and they aren't terrible. I did have 1 sketchy moment in the rain on an off ramp but that's about it. I wouldn't use them on track for anything but think they are fine for daily driving. At near stock power level, they work for me.

problem is they are supposed to be an ultra high performance 300 tread wear summer tire. other tires in that class are track worthy. i see this topic a lot on facebook and the answer are similar " thats not what they are made for" "use them what they are designed for, daily driving". they arent just a regular daily driver tire according to their classification

too late. but the 295 looks pretty natural on there. almost identical to the stretch the 305's have in the rear. took the car to the track and the tires had more bite than i did skill. brakes on the other hand got pretty tired.

Any rubbing with that 295?

Hey guys, I have a 2020 GT PP2, and I'm looking for a dedicated track day wheel set - to avoid swapping tires constantly from road use to track use. Curious if these will fit the rotors, on my PP2 - I would be ordering in a square 19x11 setup. Will these fit?

Yes they'll fit. You might need a spacer at the front I think if you're using 19x11

I'm new to all this... assuming I went staggered at 10" on the front and 11" on the rear, would I still require spacers? I'm looking for something I can swap in the garage quickly the night before

Proper spacers are easy to install. If you're tracking, you must use slip on spacers with longer wheel studs up front. The bolt on spacers are not adequate for track duty. Opmustang sells the spacers you'll need and the extended studs.

You wouldn't need spacers if you are running 10" at the front. Also if you're able to install 1" extended wheel studs up front, you can easily switch between 10" and 11" wheels. The slip on spacers are very easy to remove.

Square setup is much preferred for track duty from a handling standpoint.

Further, your wallet will be happier if you can rotate the tires to even out the wear.

Agreed, i felt a significant difference in handling when I switched from stock PP staggered setup to 19x10 square. I'm planning on getting another set of 19x11 wheels this year just for track duty. IMO 19x10 is good enough for the street as tires aren't that expensive and there are many options. For the track, I'd definitely go with 19x11 squared

Here is my grabber blue on the staggered setup. I replaced the SVE center caps with Ford Performance ones. 305s in the back 275s in the front. Car is on steeda progressive springs.
