I just came back from ZL1 addons. They installed the front tow hook and the GT500 winglets on my GT350. They did a great job.
I am a happy customer.
Now I am ready for track events.
Thank You ZL1.

They look good installed. What is that hole in the back of the winglet ? I don’t remember seeing that on mine.

The winglet comes with 2 small holes to let the air through. I enlarged the hole with a dremel to match the oem size hole from Ford.

I thought about doing that but I was concerned with the bolt on the top not having enough structure material during high speeds. It may not even matter and I may be over thinking it but. It's been fine.

You know what... I think I will do it. I had leaves get stuck in the hole and I bet if I cut it out further it will just push the leave right out in the future.

I don't think my car would be drive-able losing that much clearance? That another inch?

That and honestly...

Okay, I like ZL1Addons. I like the dude. But I've been told by multiple Ford Performance racers to no do "GT500 things" to GT350's except for the rear wing if that's the direction one wants to take. Considering they race them professionally, I'll listen. Personally I think the best aero mod anyone can do for these cars is a bigger hood vent like from Carter's Customs.

I was looking into buying them until I realized that they weren't molded as a 1 piece unit. I understand they're a small company and I have some of their parts on my car already, but the exposed screwheads on the back of these kill it for me.

There is another push pin under that vent hole. ZL1 does not use that one. I drilled my winglet where that push pin goes and now I have two pins holding the top part of the winglet

I think they look bad ass !! I can’t wait to install mine.

the exposed screws are not noticeable at all in person.

for anyone who wants to know, the standard GT version aligns correctly with non-PP GT having the OEM splitter or the GT/CS splitter; like I have.

Ground clearance reduction is marginal, less than 1/4". It mounts flush to the underside of the spoiler so it is basically the thickness of the plastic.

Interestingly enough, if I were to take a bet, and I'm no dynamics engineer, but the base model planes for the GT cars are probably more effective than the GT350's. They're big enough to redirect air around the wheel well but small enough to not cause a massive drag penalty like the GT350 ones do.

They definitely look like they have less drag, but the point of splitter fences like these are to actually capture air and increase the amount of downforce on the front splitter. This is different than the wraparound style front canards you'd see on something like the GT4 which runs a much larger splitter already so uses the canards to direct air around the turbulent wheel openings.

Different aero pieces for different functions. Canards to reduce drag and secondarily get a little downforce, splitter fences to add downforce primarily in exchange for additional drag.

Verus Engineering now offers no-drill canards because the actual force acting against them is so small as they're not creating drag, but relieving it.
