Ford Performance/Anderson Composites. Mirror Bodies coming. Trying to decide if I should hunt down a Rear Diffuser. Any significant exhaust heat issues/concerns?

Looking good. I have the rear diffuser with no heat concerns to report.

Darker photos are inside, lighter ones are outside the shop. Mike and the Benchmark Team are very excellent. Recommended! He does all of my paint correction and PPF.

They did my car as well! I thought I recognized the inside shots but wasn’t quite sure about outside. Anyway the car looks great. Love how subtle the CF looks against the carbonized gray

Looks real nice. Do you have any concerns over the deck lid finish panel and how it goes with the black tail light bezel? I had put a CF finish panel on mine and then took it off because I didn't like the way it blended with the tail lights. There are veneers available to cover the tail lights if that is the avenue you wish to go down.

For example

I see exactly what you are saying. Yes, the bezel is a bit shiny unlike the dull OEM exterior composite, but for me the piece blends in with the other three sides - especially with my dark carbonized gray metallic paint, black painted stripe and probably even more so after I install the CF rear diffuser. The CF deck lid really stands out against the rapid red color.

I do agree that dull composite works better with CF than shiny plastic. I suppose it would be nice to have matching rear CF light bezels at some point.

The black tail surrounds stand out way more on Tomster’s red car. I think you’re right the color of your car hides the difference.

Tomster, did you add that air medal insignia on your own or did Florida allow extra designations to be added to the Afghan EF medal? It's a nice touch.

Oh, and what about rear view mirrors? Shelby has CF versions. They aren't cheap, but probably better than going the veneer route like I did.

Its a matching sticker of the air medal. A tribute to all those missions I flew over Afghanistan.

I do have CF mirror bodies coming from Shelby American! They will certainly make a big difference.

And I tremendously respect your service in the Middle East. Flown on many state-wide SAR, DHS and LE Missions over the past 20 years, primarily as an RS/SO or AOBD.

Doesn't MPR make CF tail light surrounds? I know they did it for another build

I sent my carbon decklid panel back. Didn't care for the contrast with the tail lights. The fitment was also a little too "off" for my OCD. Decided to go with the factory euro tails instead
