New Car Body Shop?

It has been many years since I had a Mustang and looking to get back into one this year.

I found one with the options I am looking for and it arrived at the dealer a week ago and I was sent pictures of it after they detailed it but when we went to go see it today they couldn't find it on the lot. It turns out that there was a 'minor scratch in the door' and it is at their body shop. It will be ready later this week but I am a bit nervous with a new car that had to go right into the body shop. In looking at the pictures that I was sent I couldn't see any major issues so it is puzzling.

Am I worrying too much about this and is there anything other than paint and panel alignment I should look out for when inspecting the car, just in case the issue was more than just a minor scratch.

It is supposed to be out of the body shop soon, supposedly tomorrow. That is what they said a couple weeks ago though. So far it has been in the body shop for 2.5 weeks for a 'minor scratch' on the inside of the door.

My wife thinks that it can't be a small issue if it took almost 3 weeks to repair so she wants to stay away from the car at this point. :(

These things happen sometimes. We ordered a 2014 Flex for my wife. As the car was being taken off the semi, The semi driver somehow dropped the car above it onto the front bumper. our Flex has the adaptive cruise control so the front bumper is all sensors and radar system. Need less to say, that guy shit himself and the dealer ordered and installed a new front bumper before we picked it up. There was a new Fusion on there too that had the front windshield smashed out of it by this same mishap. Shit happens. Just ask them where the damage was and make sure you're satisfied with the fix. They are required by law to inform you of any damage prior to you signing papers. At least here in Ohio they are. Good Luck! :cheers:
