Maybe it has something to do with the brake bias. GT350 6 front and 4 rear pistons similar to 2-1 on the base v6. GTs are 4-1 or 6-1
Could be. But it's also used on the manual 4 piston GT's and Ecoboost PP models, just not the auto 4 piston cars.

Powdercoating is best by far, but for those not willing to go through that time and expense, here's what most do: https://www.amazon.com/G2-Brake-Cal...39705356&sr=1-5&keywords=g2+caliper+paint+red

I painted my rears black a year ago and they have held up pretty well. I do have a little peeling at the edges but I use a powerwasher when I wash the car....might have something to do with the peeling. I would recommend the G2 and will buy it again when it's time to redo my own rears.

I have the G2 kit to paint mine already. Don't care for the more rough casting vs. the fronts though. Was hoping they had factory red rear calipers like those fronts.

I plan to paint mine, but you can buy the rear Bullitt ones if you wanted a factory painted set.

I hear you on the difference in caliper texture. But from 10+ feet away, looking through the wheels, you really can't tell the rears are a different texture. Mine are painted black and really you can't see them at all unless there's sunlight on the wheel.

How do you like those Apex wheels? They look so clean on your car!

I looked into the red rear calipers and it would be over $230 for a set, considering they're just stock ones painted red, I figured it's better just to paint my base rear ones with G2 and save $200.

Thank you! I'm really liking them so far. Had them on literally just a week now, along with the Conti ECS tires. Went from the stock 20 x 9 Foundry wheels/Goodyear F1's to a square set of Apex 19x10s with the Contis. Better ride overall and way better in the rain than the stockers. Unfortunately, since I put them on it has rained every freaking day, giving me only one half a day to detail the car and snap a few pics...and then it poured and kept pouring. :headbang:

I paid $537 shipped. Part # KR3Z-2B121-A and KR3Z-2B120-A.
I think this is a sweet price compared to the 1200 for the non-red PP Brembo’s. To bad they are not black like the ones from Steeda! ;)

Haha. I was going to get the black 50th Anniversary ones. They're the same price, but I have a black car and wheels and wanted something that would stand out more. The $1200 is for the kit which includes the calipers, rotors, pads, hardware, and lines, but you can piece together the parts yourself for under a thousand. I think I'm at about $975 for everything. I went with factory rotors and calipers, if I tracked the car I probably would have went with a 2 piece rotor setup and different pads, but that would have cost about $800 more.

my local dealer wants $345 each for those part numbers. I asked if they would price match other dealers, lol I’m not even sure they answered the question....

Regarding the different sized M/C, Ford did this with the sn95s between base, Cobra and Cobra R. The race guys didn't like the softer pedal feel so Ford changed the M/C size to give more feedback. The bias was the same even though rotor size and piston caliper sizes/number changed. Mustangs typically have a 70ish/30ish F/R brake torque bias. I'm guessing that even though we go from a 4 piston to a 6 piston for the swap, and to a larger rotor the total piston and swept area are the same or very close.

You can order them from may websites like LevittownFord parts, Auto Nation Ford white bear lake, etc. I'm ordering them from Surban Auto Parts, the total came to $526 plus 18 bucks for shipping or free pickup.
