Well that's interesting. If true, RIP to 5.0 values. That much displacement tells me it's likely a pushrod engine which would be an interesting 180 for Ford.

To be fair, it's also possible that this new 6.8L will only come supercharged and would be meant for the new GT500 and Raptor. I can't imagine how it would possibly avoid a gas guzzler tax even naturally aspirated, so it's probably not designed to replace the 5.0.

A "big block" Coyote would be epic.

My hopes are that the Raptor gets this motor.

The guy who informed me is a member here.
Sounds the same as "my brother knows a guy who's cousin said". After looking into it more it seems likely that it's just a reporting mistake by this paper and not what's actually happening.

My brother-in-law has a 415 stroker in his 46 Ford sedan delivery. I believe it was originally a 351 Windsor. It's a real torque monster, great fun. If the new one is similar, I would buy a Mustang with one.

Big things appear on the horizon for Ford V8 power. I am surprised no one has not heard of the new 6.8 liter Windsor engine. Ford is really giving us some new performance Mustangs. To have a 6.8 liter V8 ready for production in 2022 is amazing.

Look buddy boy.......the man has been 100% correct now for well over a year.
He's posted on Yellow Bullet / SVT / Mustang 6G.
