New 2021 GT500 at Florida dealership

I remember back in the 80s FL troopers using fox bodied coupes as pursuit cars on the interstates and turnpike. I actually saw a trooper on the turnpike north of Orlando coming the opposite direction dive into the median and do a 180 coming out in the fast lane in front of me sliding backwards with tires smoking going after a Beemer that had just passed me at 100+ mph. The trooper was about 100 to 150 yards in front of me when he did the 180 thru the medium and caught the Beemer about a mile down the road.

Any one else see the article in the WSJ about ADM's. Todays paper, both GM and Ford are cracking down on dealers charging exorbitant fees over MSRP.

This has been discussed already a few pages back.
Ford and GM cannot do much about what the dealerships charge for their cars.

It would be interesting to know what they think is exorbitant. Probably over 10k for special vehicles

I remember when my top of the line, at the time, 03’ Cobra cost $35,000 ish. Yes, 20 yrs, horsepower, technology, free market, demand, all that stuff, I‘m not talking about that.

Ford fails to see these prices are taking what was once an every-mans car and making it more and more unobtainable and not helping to carry on younger generation interest.

They don’t care to understand they just took the name of an icon and put it on a soccer minivan.

Here's a Mustang GT you don't want to see in Florida - State Trooper unmarked car!

There's so much going on in the photo. The old convertible, the radar detector, the flipped over camper, your hood, bicycles, the time/date stamp, the S550 police car. It's like a Where's Waldo or one of those pictures that you have to compare to another to see what's missing.

I didn't know they were using Mustangs anymore since the fox body days. That would be a cool mustang to own after they put it out to pasture.

Don't be fooled. The actual MSRP on the window sticker is $79,745 (click the link and there's a link to the window sticker). Dealers often include the ADM in a fake "MSRP" on the web listing such as this.

One of the cars I was inquiring about was up there in ADM. I'm glad it didn't materialize. I didn't know what I was thinking with wanting to pay that much ADM.
Their customer service isn't that "great".

You live in the normal part of the state. Lol.

I can definitely say south Florida is raging out of control with housing (ownership and rental). No wage rent increase cap so greed is driving everything to rise uncontrollably. Houses are going for $150-$200k more than they were in 2018/2019, rent has risen $4-$500 plus per mo for the same “updated” places in still shitty areas over the same period.

Yet in the land of excess there’s no shortage of people willing to pay, so the cycle continues.

That is everywhere
