I bought a xDrive G82 M4 a few months back. It ran 11.1 @ 127 stock, 10.2 @ 133 with just E40 and a piggy back. This was on stock Pirelli street tires.

I looked into buying one before the Mach 1.
Way more than $20k over a Loaded GT or even a Mach 1
Factor in Tax and Maintenance, way more $ to own!
Probably not good considering a Mach 1 at this point. I don’t think they’ll fill the orders this late in production.

I'm glad I got my M2 Comp before they came up with the Beaver grill. No matter how much people hate the grill BMW is all about it.

There are a few companies that have replacement grills/bumps that get rid of the Beaver Teeth. Sort of like how many on here have changed from what their cars originally came with...no different with a BMW.

The problem is would you want to spend 80- 90-100k for a car and then have to replace the entire front end? Has anyone made one that still works with all the sensors etc?

People do it all the time. If a person can afford the car, it would be the same equation as someone that spent less on their cars. A 35k car is top dollar for some people.

I can afford the car, I don't want to have to spend another 10-20 to "fix" a brand new car. That's just me I guess. Plenty of other BMW owners are going to go to a P car or something else over that pig nose beaver mobile.

I am not debating any of what you said. My post was simply that aftermarket front ends are available, as they are for most cars on the market. I have no idea what any BMW owner will do, so can't debate that either. I also was not referring to anyone in particular when I stated if they can afford the car, they can and might want to replace the front end. It was just a general statement. :fistbump:

I'd love to have a new M series. I had a 2016 M235i (which I know isn't a true M) but it spent way too much time in the shop for warranty issues. Everytime I looked at the bill, I knew I wasn't keeping that car a single day out of warranty. 2 modules were $400 each, one was $800, exhaust actuator was $400...not including labor or diagnostics. And the windshield washer pump got stopped up which required going through the passenger wheel well.

I guess if I get into another one, I'm going to have to pony up for the extended warranty plan.

How is the gearing with the manual M Series? My M235i had a really long 1st gear and a really short 6th. Like mid 2K rpm@80mph. My wife's 335i with the zf 8 speed would turn 1K rpm less and got great mpg on the interstate. Her car never spent any time in the shop except for a tsb for the A/C. Which is part of why I bought mine, go figure.

Basically what I was going to say. We have an X3M and it sure is a wonderful vehicle to drive. I cannot wait to get rid of it simply due to costs of maintenance and it’s computer constantly wants something. Dealer wanted 2,500$ for brakes and rotors, oh and don’t forget you need to flushed out the brake system every time you need a set of brakes. I did all this myself on a Saturday for about 600$ in parts and tools.

I’m terrified something serious will go wrong with it. Trading it for a 22 Explorer ST as soon as it shows up. It’s no surprise their resale value is garbage.
