sorry buddy, but the M cars just don’t speak to me. There’s just nothing about them that feels like a special event. My car feels like an amusement park ride that you never want to get off. My neighbor put a Dinan exhaust in his latest M4, and it sounds like a ricer. Although I would never tell him that lol.

I agree with the sound, probably the number one thing that keeps me in the Mustang, and the Mustang paled to my E92 M3 in the sound comparison.

I've always said they look better in person and it seems that the brighter colors look the best. I was at the factory in S.C. and saw a yellow M4 being delivered and I couldn't help but notice it looked different than in pictures and I actually thought it didn't look that bad.

It's actually growing on me. I'm sure the color does help. lol

I agree. It must have looked pretty killer in yellow as well.

I'm a fan of the bright colors. My previous Mustang, a '13 Roush Stage 3, M6, was in GHIG. What a killer looking car. Looked amazing.

I like the yellow, but a little to highlighterish. I'm not a fan of the G80, the lines to the rear quarter don't seem right. The G82 M4 has much better lines.

Good luck. I do like the M cars myself. I've been eyeing the '22 X5 M50i for a while now. What a beastly machine. Would love the X5M, but need the awd for driving to work in the winter mess.
The X5M comes standard with AWD.

BAD ASS!!! Yup.
Needs winter tires though. You ain't going anywhere on those ultra high performance tires it comes stock with during the winter months in New England.

Yes it's German perfection highly appreciated when hitting 280 kph on the Autobahn but when speed limits are so low we need some kind of drama to have fun LOL.

Trust me, hitting top speed on the Autobahn gets boring after a few times. What I love about the Mustang is that even the daily commute is fun, start your day with a smile on your face. Due to the insane fuel prices I got a second car, a little diesel, but I do sure miss the rumble of a V8.

Just bought a 22 BMW X5 xdrive40 M-sport.
My first BMW or any German car.
All I can say is I'm super impressed! American made Fords, GM, Mopar are not on the same level.
Car and Driver tested it at under 5 seconds 0-60 and I can tell you she pulls nice and hard. Doing over 100mph on the highway is like nothing in this big SUV.
Now, is it way more $ than the same size/equipment American car, hell yes
Is it way more $ to Maintain when things need it, hell yes
Would I pay $25k more for an M4 over my Mach 1 . Nope!

I got to drive one the other day and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed. Car and Driver ran 0-60 in 3.8 and it did the 1/4 mile in 12.0@ 121mph. How can this be when this car is similar weight to the Mustang GT manual and with only 13hp more per rating. I have to say this thing flies. I noticed no, none, zero turbo lag. The front of the car is growing on me and to be honest there is no comparison as far as build quality and interior. As it should be as this car is over $20k more than fully loaded Mustang GT premium. The thing is it leases pretty good compared to buying a Mach 1. I like to lease as I get the tax write off as I am self-employed.

The manual tranny shifter was typical BMW meaning a little rubbery, just like my E92 M3 was and my previous E46 M3s. The Mustang even with its Getrag MT82D4 feel is much better as was the sound. I will say it did sound better than the older F8X cars but still not a V8.

I bought my 2020 Mustang GT 300a PP car for just $38k on got 0 percent financing for 72 mos. I actually have about $6-8K equity in the car. Kind of torn...love the Mustang but I am itching to get back into a M car again.
I'm sure some people already replied to this, but Germans (and especially BMW) are known to underrate their own cars, there's plenty of dyno runs out there where it's pushing out past 500hp.

So something like the 473hp on the M4 is actually that to the wheels or even more, while something like my 480hp Bullitt is I believe 410-420hp to the wheels.
