Hard pass on the 2017. 2019 is the way to go. It has a refresh, updated engine, 2 and half years newer. The 2017 is going to take a hard depreciation as soon as you drive it off the lot since it will be a 2 and a half year old used car as soon as you take it home.

Trust me, I considered that bad boy. And, no hate on the vette crowd. But, I'm sure those C8's are gonna be marked up like crazy and you wont have one in your garage until at least the early part of 2020 is my guess.

But, the main reason to not get the vette is that Ford is just better than Chevy....in my humble opinion, of course (and its a fact )

So, I talked to the guy with the 17, and told him he'd have to be at 50K for me to even consider it. He has come down to 54K so far. I told him I would pass, but let him know if I changed my mind. If he gets to 50K, it might become a harder decision.

I'd get the 2019 Model Year even if it was a $10K delta.

Just get the '19 model year. Too many changes and you know the entire history of the vehicle (where it's sat, paint issues, future concerns).

The stealership probably got greedy with ADM which in turn back fired. Now they will or should I say they should sell for less than MSRP. Nobody wants a 2 year+ old car for the same price as a 2020 car. Its crazy that they are JUST getting a 2019. That is already a year old. 2020 started hitting the lots in June didnt it?
I would low ball them on the 2017 on the condition you'd help them find a buyer for the year old 2019. I'm sure someone here would love to have that car at msrp.

Edit: I just went to the ford site, i guess it fluctuates. I got my '13 GT back in may 2013 discounted because the 2014s were already in the lot.

Thanks buddy. I appreciate that. I love Hot Rod magazine, for one, and that was a great article to boot.

I am def going to get the 19. I let the salesman know, told him to have it ready when I get there Saturday. Its a 4 hour drive, which is a haul, but I'll be having a blast on the way back, so its really my wife that will suffer. Fortunately, she supports the purchase, so I'll only have to pay for her time on the ride home.
