The stripes are tape rather than paint from the factory???

The last painted stripes that I recall were on the 2005/2006 Ford GT's and I believe that I am correct in saying that the new Ford GT's also have painted stripes and hopefully someone can confirm that.

Ford did not start applying their own 3M stripes on Mustangs until the 2010MY and that was with the GT500. Of course they continued on with that process with the GT500 until the 2014MY and then for the 2012/2013 Boss 302 cars.

Previously to the 2010MY Ford farmed out this work to a third party firm and if you look at some of the striping work on the 2007 to 2009 GT500's you will see why they spent a lot of money purchasing their own striping machine and internal striping department.

I was shocked today when I checked the trade value of my 16 track pack with 8k miles. Only $43k in excellent condition.

I know...I was looking to trade mine for something small and wait for 500, but my negative equity took another hit. Maybe winter hit us.
