wife will not drive mustangs (various reasons). it pains me every day to see how she treats cars.
granted we dont have Ferrari's but still when you drop $$$ you dont want them trashed.
i had a 2019 edge that was my daily. was super clean just like the mustangs. fast forward 2023 i bought a new Bronco sport (traded her escape) and she took over the Edge for daily. within a week it was more trashed than i did in 3 years! i literally have to take trash out every week just to sit in the seat. i dont understand how you cannot just throw away whatever is laying there.....
kids in the back do the same but they are kids....never seen a "clean" kid before. but full grown adult? i mean its simple stuff....takes like 2 sec to pick up and throw away. im afraid to look under the seats....who knows what is growing there.... i cleaned it out before our vacation in Aug, i got about a 1/2 trash can full of junk out of the car, and wiped down the "sticky" from all the door handles....

“So now the million dollar question is what should I do?”

1 : Ditch her … Jk

2 : Use this as an excuse for lots of additional ‘favours’ … JK, or maybe not …

3 : Take it to a body shop, it’s the only way you will truly be happy with it again.

Good luck and I hope it all goes to plan (especially point 2 :giggle:)

oh well then that totally explains the foolish name calling and complete lack of actual substantive argument.

honestly, its a car and it sucks but its definitely fixable. you may make a mistake worst off than this one day and have no one to blame but yourself. hopefully she wont ever do it again on any car. that said.

fix it off the books, keep it off carfax report. its so small, I would really try to keep it from being reported, which I dont see why it would have to be? why do shops report things to carfax etc anyway on small repairs?

ie. my grandma literally had a little chip from a car in parking lot, like 200 dollars. they reported it to carfox even though she paid out of pocket no insurance. it gave issue when people was trying to buy it and it showed an issue on carfox saying it was damaged but didnt clarify what exactly.

speak for yourself. brilliant retort, BTW, did your mom help you with that?"
i guess "finally21" must be referring to your age.
I'm with finally21, that was a dumb thing to say about someone you love. Its just a car.

People make mistakes, life is not some game were we have to constantly prove our value or be cast into the dirt.

Ok, fellas. Let’s get outta here. OP started this mess and checked out completely. Leaving the fine folks of M6G to sort it out with little more than assumptions and guesses. Waste of time.

Guys, really. Do we have to take it to a level where somebody gets banned?
Everybody is taking it too personal, I guess the OP is capable of drawing his own conclusion and decide what to do with it's scratch... and his life now :cwl: .

Mustang6g, come for the car; remain for the free life advice.

since you apparently understand forever21's argument please explain how personal responsibility is dumb since he's at a loss for words (apart from insults).

Not at a loss for words, just not interested in a debate.

Alright so recently I just experienced one of the worst pains a car guy can have. This happened the other day when I let my girlfriend use my mustang (Which I never do because of this and will never let her again) but she was begging me and she didn't want to take the Tacoma so I said screw it why not...but even before she left I specifically instructed her on how to drive like I always do when I'm driving such as: "This car is lowered" and "Enter the driveway at an angle" etc... So she went on her way to do errands and what not and unfortunately at her last stop (Starbucks) the worst happened which was she decided to reverse park in spot for whatever reason and ended up hitting a cement pole scratching the left side of my rear bumper.

So now the million dollar question is what should I do? Cover it up with Street Aero stickers? New Bumper?...OR maybe if someone knows how to DIY fix-it that might include some elbow-grease on the bodywork that might not be an expensive fix??? I Don't Know...?

But any advice would be great before I end up taking it to a bodyshop if there isn't a cheaper option....
