@scoots I ran an almost exactly identical time as you ([email protected] and 1.98 60 ft) completely stock launching off idle. Anything more than that, and it would burn the tires from a stop. Also had a lot of issues with spinning on 2nd and 3rd gear.

Tires are the answer here. I already told myself i won't go back until i have a better prepped track or drag radials. I know we are both capable of high 11s with ease at the mph we are seeing. 👍

The car was consistent 12.2-12.3 today. I would like to break 12.0 in daily driver trim. I’m sure I could get another 10th or so as is, but not consistently run 11.8-11.9. I am thinking of going with the Ford performance power pack for my tune, but I am not sure if it’s enough power. I do have some e85 around, but I want to stay with 93. I would appreciate feedback from some 10R80 power pack owners on what kind of improvements in 1/4 mile they saw.

You need to get the 60 ft time down . 1.9s just isn’t good enough . It’s fords fault not yours . My 16 mod would only do 1.9s on M/T et streets

Last year I did a 1.9 on a Nitto G2.... We all know how bad those tires are at the strip.

It’s not Ford’s fault at all. Running a proper setup for weight transfer is what allows for a good 60’. Even stock suspension with a proper tire aired down with some heat in them, can net 1.55-1.65’s on an S197/S550 with an MT-82.. Once someone lowers the car, and puts a stiffer suspension in, all bets are off and you can’t blame the tire.

Mine had no wheel spin and the best of a 1.8 no matter what I did in my old 16 auto ,tune and tires only . 12.3 @ 116 mph . My 70 model with 3.00 gears ,auto 1.62 in 60 ft 11.6 @117 mph .

Sorry I’m talking stock automatic . These S550s are hard to get lower than a 1.7 in the 60 ft . Don’t worry I have been down the 1/4 mile more than most ever will .

The auto is even easier. What suspension were you using? Because there’s hundreds if not a few thousand of stock suspension autos under 1.6’s on a DR.

Anyone that’s getting 1.9 on MTs, it’s their fault. Or the track prep is dreadful. When prep is on at Atco. I can get a high 1.7-low 1.8 on All season stockers.

Their 555rii on the rear will fix that up. Can hook power but handle daily driving and rain. Can keep G2 on the front and they don't look out of place.

Tires, minor weight reduction, suspension, then power but the FP route won't net much definitely better options out there.

What’s your suspension setup?
I’m on stock suspension and with DR’s I’ve cut 3.22 0-60’ so far, because it’s not lowered and doesn’t have a stiff suspension.
