Short and sweet, I have an H5 sized battery in the car which is slightly taller than OEM. There’s very little room to work with inside the box to attach a 1/0 power cable so I’m curious what others have done. I’d prefer not to remove the stock positive terminal clamp but will do so if it comes down to it. I test fitted this terminal from Knukonceptz and it’s too tall, interfering with the battery cover which I want to keep installed.

I used this connector and connected a 4GA wire to it. It can be bent 90 degrees in a vice and the battery nut on the other side. Did this on the GT and another car. Works well.

EDIT: I took the battery cover out and the passenger wheel liner and ran the wire through the bottom of the battery box, and into the passenger compartment. Very clean and easy entry into the car.

Yeah I’m starting to think this might be the easiest route. I was planning to remove the stock clamp but with how little room I have I may just have to do your method and just pretty it up with heat shrink and split loom.

There is a three bolt power fuse box located on the other side of the strut bolt. It's about 6" in front of the battery box.

Guys, if you use the nut on the battery terminal as your attachment, make sure you sand off the black anodized coating on the clamp surfaces that are in contact with each other. The black coating is not conductive.
Sand the top of the block that touches the nut.
Sand the 45deg wedge surfaces.
Sand the side of the block that touches the side of the battery terminal.

Did you use it on the mustang? I bought one of these and it doesn’t fit our batteries. Also, to swap out the stock clamp I would need one that had a 1/0 and two 4 gauge outputs. This one won’t cut it. But thank you!
I did not buy it for my mustang, but I had it on my last vehicle when setting up the amps in it.
