Finally got the new wheels on! I know the car needs to be detailed... Shelby 50th forged wheels, 20x9.5 and 20x11, 275/35 and 305/35 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500’s. Everyone loves black wheels but I think the bright looks good on NFG.

incredible colour this green.
has the wow factor in bucket loads. looks good in all lights unlike that grabber lime.
For me, the best time to look at this color is at sunset when the car is in the shadow of the sun.

Ha. Sorry. It sounds great too. I went with S-Type over ATAK as I’ve got some ARH SS headers to go on and didn’t want to wake the planet on cold starts, but have some friends who are getting active ATAKs without the headers.
Do you mean the little stainless ones holding the tips on? If so I’ll get ahead of it with some of the super strength version before I lose some...
@KermiStang did you ever get this setup going? I'd still be very interested in hearing it.

Hey @Justin. I have the exhaust on but still not fitted the headers yet. (They are still in the box. ) Between work and procrastination with coatings (and now Winter) it just hasn’t happened yet. My ARHs also have high cell green cats so “should” not be much louder than now. A member on this site in Canberra recently fitted the exact same ARH set to his S550 and advised little appreciable difference in sound. (What I wanted too) I’ve decided to Ceracoat mine (headers) before fitting now so will have to import/order the paint I want and then wait for warmer weather. I’m also considering masking and Ceracote coating sections of the new exhaust near the A10 and diff. It’s not a bother as it will all be out again as I have more suspension to do as well. Sorry I’ve not actually recorded any sound clips yet. Maybe In a few days if I get time.

That looks amazing. I have hated all these new cars from every make and model coming out with these black wheels and dealt with it. I get it they look cool but I have always been a chrome guy. I am older and this is my thing. This makes me think about what I’m gonna do. Thanks man.

No problem! I bought them from Shelby, Black Friday sale was 20 or 25 percent off. They have lots of other wheels in silver too.

No worries, i'm very interested in hearing it. Would be interested in knowing how it affects the HP you get as well but thats a little more difficult to gauge. I want headers down the road and wouldn't mind a bit more volume but am very cautious to avoid being obnoxius and ruining the deep tone of the S Types so these sound promising.

What tail lights covers are those? I bought some from Amazon and they looksdfine without the lights on but there were variations in the shades of black with lights on. My OCD couldn’t handle it.
