Yep. Sold the racecar and trailer. Had to spend some of that money on something. I got tired of waiting on the GT500.

Even if you did wait for the GT500, you are not guaranteed an allocation, plus stealership will screw you over and have ADM. Besides, the car you build will obviously be cheaper (including price of car) and much faster.
Did you buy an 18 with an A10?

Thats what I came to also. I priced out a 19 hellcat. It would have been 30 grand down and 600 a month for 6 yearz. A GT500 would have been considerably more. Just couldnt pull the trigger on a 100 grand mustang. No im not an 18. Im a bolt on 15 automatic premium.

Here is my .02 and it isnt really worth that. As a former LS2 C6 owner who used to drag my car a lot, the C5 Z06, the C7 and maybe the LS3 C6, stock, are underestimated. I get roll racing, drag racing, may have a very different outcome. The Vette shines on the roll and can drag too (assumed a good driver). With that said, the information is out there. Some Vette guys run their cars hard, I met some during track days. Being the C7 has been out a while, there are some track times, beyond magazine racing.

On CF.com, folks have to provide timeslips, along with some integrity. Some folks have been called out but I will say this list is pretty accurate. A timeslips mean there is no wx correction factor. This is what these cars can do on a good track, good weather and with a good driver. I am sure not everyone who runs post on forums either. The average is higher than these runs (in the 12’s it seems). As it is, these are the top ten bone stock C7 runs...

A stock z51 running 11.3 is just a liar with a tune or drag radials. It didnt really happen.

I am under the humble impression LTI vettes are easy 11 second cars from the factory.
The auto perhaps.. but the manual are still low 12 sec cars.. so it should be a good drivers race.. but equal driver the Stingray/GS should be about 1 to 1&1/2 car I guess. Regardless, doesn't take much to beat a stock Vette.. Tune, E85 will edge him out IMO

Most I have seen are 12.1-12.3’s at my track 1500’ above sea level midwest. A8’s. Next.

Car&Driver tested a 2017 Grand Sport. Base price $62K+ and car tested $92K+. It ran about 12.2 for the 7 speed and 12.0 for the A8. I'll take my Mustang any day.
It's easy to hide upgrades or just forget you got them when posting on the Internet. Stuff like gears for drag racing & Octane boosting additives. Modern cars will give up to 4 or 5 degrees of added timing with higher octane gas.

Right and in Fantastic negative DA. Think Atco or Cecil County race way in Oct-Nov. A car will run about 3 tenths faster. So the Vette is a high 11 second car. Maybe even an 11.6 car. But cutting another 3/10ths is just bullshit.

The 11.3 is legit. And the person who was updating that list no long does..so the list is outdated. We have tried to get someone else to pick it back up and update again.

I now have a 2017 Grand Sport(Traded my S550) with boltons and tuning from Pray Performance. Let's just say I am not scared of any NA bolton 18 5.0s. Have tried to run a couple of local ones and it seems that there is not much enthusiasm in racing my car.

Do you have an 18 5.0 with boltons? Or just the older car in your sig?

My point I am trying to make based on this thread is the C7s are faster stock vs stock and for sure mod vs mod NA and faster with a cam than the 18 A10 cars. The 5.0s currently have an advantage with boost. Fueling is still a little pricey on the LT1s for aux. port injections setups.

Bolton 6gen SS w/ stock converter, suspension, etc just went 10.76@128mph in +DA

My buddies 2016 stingray walks away from my 18 GT. Not Fun. Im not use to this, I.E. getting beat by friends! I havent owned a non-boosted car in about 15 years! Hes about 1.5 cars out at 120mph from a dig. Even though we are both 460hp and he is a few hundred pounds lighter than me, for some reason I still thought it would be closer. I guess those stingrays run high 11s stock. Oh well, need to decide whats next, new hellion sleeper kit or Procharger.
If you have Vette envy just buy one....
But you know what they say about vette owners right ?
