Damn, that sucks. My question is who owns a 2015 and only put 8k miles on it? I have 100k miles on my 2015 lmao.
OP says it's a 50th LE. Some thought they were instant collector cars and didn't use them or mostly for car shows. IIRC there was still one brand new one at a local Ford dealer in '17 or '18.

there is nothing wrong with Costco gas. It comes out of the same damn distribution tanks (10 million gallon tank farms) as all the rest. My EB, GT and 3.5EB all happily suck the 93 down.

Nope you're right there is nothing wrong with, it's just damn cheap shit.

I threat my lawnmower & weed eater better then your EB, GT and 3.5EB ..... LMAO

Interesting that the motor blew. Haven't seen much talk about the coyote motors breaking, besides oil pump gears, especially only with 9k miles. Maybe because it wasn't driven much it needed time before being pushed hard?

From reading about mustangs for the past year or so, the cheapest course of action is to buy a new block from a wrecked car. Ford gives 30k+ mile warranties on the stock block with a supercharger and so do other companies. The block should take the abuse. Whatever cause the motor to blow you probably just had bad luck. Just install new oil pump gears and replace the #6 piston and anything else potentially damaged (maybe new crankshaft, bearings, etc. but a shop should be able to tell if they are worn). That should keep the price down. I don't see any reason to buy an upgraded block unless you are going for 900hp+ or trying to rev really high, and even then I think it's more internal upgrades and not the actual block itself.

Hopefully you can get this fixed for less. Can't imagine buying a new car, buying a 10k+ supercharger, and then the engine blowing up.
...I just gave my Grandson a '98 S10 ZR2 pickup I have owned since new;
...it has 65,000 miles on it..........................

Late to the party but do SC cars with Gen 2 Coyote actually rev to 7500 rpm isn't that the first red flag here ?

they are saying it is something like 37 hours of labor.
Find another shop. I'd call a dealer and ask for the labor hours to R&R a short block. It should only add an hour to swap over the supercharger.

I can look up short block tomorrow and see what it says. I’ll also look up long block and assembled engine for completions sake.

why would you run boostane just for a dyno for a street car? not being a dick but curious. if you're going to be running 93 or 91 on the street all the time, and always filling up with that, why run any different on the dyno. run on the dyno what you're going to run on the street. even if it means settling for lower power. better that than to tune too aggressively and then go burn up your engine on the street.
It's cheap insurance, same reason I run it when I go to the track.

Wonder if OP's shop is doing a valve job also.

So here in KY it would be 3100 labor which would include a valve job.

Costco is top tier gas, should be zero problems with it as long as it was 91/93 octane.

Here you go. Keep in mind that the labor times do not include any diagnosis or extra stuff that may be needed.

$195 an hour. OUCH.
