Hey guys! This is my first time creating a thread on here. Just wanted to share my take on grille lights for the s550. I am a fan of the grille lights and wanted to do something different that might go more with the lines of the car. I took a 50th anniversary grille and cut the center out. I purchased a mesh from customcargrills.com and cut it to fit. I ordered sport lamps for a 1971 Mustang Mach 1 and painted them black to match the grille. Lights and wiring were not available for these so I fabricated one using led lights I got from Amazon and attaching it to a washer where I siliconed them into the holes. Let me know what you guys think!!

Not bad. Kinda 71mach1 vibe.

It's not my cup of tea, but I can appreciate the vision and effort. I just don't think 45+ year old light housings belong on a new Mustang

I immediately recognized the lights being sourced from a 71-73 Mach 1, so I like the idea. But honestly just not a fan of the look.

If you like it go for it.... to each his own... Personally, i think it makes the car look like a Mustang II front end. Not for me.

Nick, I really like how it turned out! Would love to see you add an tri-bar emblem in the center of the grill to really finish off the retro look.

Reminds me of the lights on the 73' Mach 1 I had. I like it, more so than the round lights on the 197's.

Interesting. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but it looks like you did a great job on the fabrication.

The work looks nice and clean! I'd been toying around with the idea on paper but it's awesome to see someone finally did it! I'd love to see another variant with more flush lights in the grille though.

Nice work!

Kinda makes the front remind me of a modern undercover cop car, you know how when you see a plain looking Taurus Interceptor but can still see LED's peeking out from behind the grill?

This was probably a lot of fun to do, and it seems like you really took the time to make it look professional. The look is definitely polarizing but hats off for a job well done.
