I remember back in the 90's, the Fox Body cars and their chrome Pony wheels. That was always a very classy look, no matter what color exterior. I do still like chrome wheels, but the style has to be perfect. I think with the Mach graphics and stuff, the chrome tames it down too much and some of the aggressive nature of the car is gone. Now, if you took the graphics off (which I wouldn't do) I think the chrome would look so much different (better). But that is my opinion.

Same here, born early 80’s so was really getting into cars in the late 80’s/early 90’s. First set of wheels I bought for my first car were chrome 5 spokes from American Racing. Car was white so the chrome worked well.
I remember how cool American racing wheels were back in the day. Those 5 spokes, and the full aluminum plate ones with no holes in them.

Good times! OP, thanks for taking me back to high school!

Chrome gets you home...so you've got that going for you.

So many will go with black wheels - which look great no doubt. But, you've got a look that isn't going to be essentially duplicated by 92.47341% of the folks out there.

As others said, maybe a couple of chrome bits to tie it together? Maybe a second badge of whatever you want to chrome that way you can swap back if it goes too bling blang on you.

I hope I’m not in the old folks club at 34 yet but I hate Black wheels, luckily was able to get chrome on my ranger, but was kind of out of luck with the Mach, I like the standard 5 spoke better then the upgraded ones even

After looking at your back to back photos, I think I have to go with the "like 'em" column.

Chrome for old school stuff. Maybe get a set of black wheels….I think the American Racing AR927 Barrage would look great.

personally I think that the chrome and red isn't a great look. Good experiement tho.

Honestly what you've done to those wheels will probably be highly desirable to someone with a different colored car. I bet you could sell those at a premium to somebody with a blue car maybe.

I bet you could get someone to swap with you (and they can throw in a few bucks to cover some of the cost of the beautiful chrome job)

Don't worry. I'll take them off your hands if ever you decide you don't want 'em anymore.

I think they look great, personally.

IMHO Gunmetal or Black Chrome all day. Black works. But Silver Chrome...maybe not.
