Kayak paddle in the middle of the road, and I could not change lanes. I straddled the the paddle, no pun intended, and boom. Must have sucked up against the car and smashed through the rear valance.

I think it missed the rear end cooling unit and cannot tell if it hit anything else. Any guesses on how much this will cost to repair and or if it will show up on a carfax report? Damned thing is six feet long.

If you fix it yourself with no insurance or dealer, i doubt it will show up on any site.
Should be and easy fix just replacing the valance.
Sunrise Ford 888 795 5629 ask for Sean
I've dealt with this guy before he`s first rate and great pricing.

Somewhere right now, somebody is sitting in their kayak thinking:
“We’ll I’ll be, doesn’t this beat all… I’m actually living the cliche: Up a creek without a paddle… Now seriously, where did that damn paddle go? I just had it seconds ago!!!!!”

I like to disassemble things.
Everytime I see a Subaru driving, flannel wearing, bearded millenial, with either a bike on the roof or a canoe that is longer than the car I get the f*** away. Rig something improperly and somebody (or somebody's property) gets hurt. I watched a mattress fly about 20 feet in the air at speed because the purple haired, nose ringed, tatted up girl that looked to weigh as much as a grand piano, couldn't hold it down on the roof of her car any longer (it was a Subaru too) as she traveled down the highway at 56mph in the left lane.

you are lucky. Back when i bought a spare (which is still in the garage), it was only a $600 part. Had it gone through your bumper, that would be quite a bit more.

Was this in Georgia? It may have been the same mattress I saw fly up going up 400N about 60 ft in front of me while I was also in my GT350. I didn't see your beast!?!?! We must have been paying attention to where the mattress was going to land to notice each other. Hahah.

HEY! I'm a millenial and I also own a couple of flannel dress shirts, but that's only because I grew up in Canada and it is part of the national uniform :giggle:

Nope, not Georgia. The pocono mountains of Pennsylvania.
