Hey all, quick update on the race car. I got it back from my dealer a couple days ago to have them complete TSB 19-2135 for the transmission surging issue. Luckily the issue is now resolved and the tech also gave the car a clean bill of health for the most part.

According to the Oasis report, both exhaust manifolds were replaced at different times for cracks. Oddly, the certified FP tech at my dealer noted that when the passenger manifold was replaced, they tack-welded nuts onto the manifold and ran bolts from the manifolds into the block, rather than using the block studs and tightening the bolts to secure the manifold. Very strange. Good news is I had already planned on doing a full exhaust so Iā€™m accelerating that plan.

Hereā€™s the list of parts on-hand or incoming:
1. Host of suspension upgrades from Steeda
2. Apex wheels with Falken tires
3. McLeod RXT clutch
4. MGW Gen 2 shifter assembly
5. Corsa LTH w/ cat delete and X-pipe
6. FP oil separator
7. Lund tune

Congratulations on your car. I have a feeling these ford racing cars will be collectibles one day with high value.

Have you decided what you are going to do for a fire extinguisher mount?
Iā€™ve been looking at a Drake setup that Iā€™ll mount to the roll bar between the seats. I have one mounted to the front of my passenger seat in my ā€˜19 but it comes loose a lot.

I have the same in my other 16. I was thinking about roll bar mount as well.

Had a little more time the other day to finish installing my new Safecraft sub harnesses. I added an attachment point to the Watson harness bracket and supplied the measurements to Safecraft so they could build an appropriate-length belt.

Also added the original GT350 Track Attack windshield banner that I got from Falcon Graphics at the Utah Motorsports Campus and added my last name to the windshield for nostalgia sake.

Have you figured out what brake pads they were running on these cars?
I was told factory. All the carā€™s got new pads and rotors in August.

I posted under a separate thread about a new problem but figured Iā€™d recap here as well for those who are following. While the TSB fixed the surging issue, my car is still exhibiting strange driveline noises, sensations, and quirks. When I was driving the car a couple weekends ago the rear tires momentarily locked up under street driving deceleration. At low RPMs there is an audible ā€œrotationalā€ noise coming from the center console area thru the shifter. Also, while slowing to a stop the car pulsates through the pedals. It almost feels as if the front rotors are warped but I know they arenā€™t. Iā€™m thinking the flywheel is warped and a buddy told me the pinion bearing could be catching causing the lock ups and shuttering. Iā€™m still waiting for Lethal Performance to ship out my clutch and shifter, and hopefully those pieces with a thorough inspection will fix these concerns.
