No worries, I too have driven and owned BMW's to Porsche's from DCT to PDK. Never got to drive a GT500, would love to. I'm not ragging at all on the GT500, just want one with a manual. Especially for the amount of money you need to spend to get a GT500. That is 992.2S territory and I can get it with a 7spd. manual.
A base 992.2S is still $35k over my GT500. The better choice in that price point would be a Cayman GTS. They will both be very difficult to find. And a base 992.2S would be a unicorn. It just a completely different experience. I spent so much time around Porsche this is a refreshing change.

The only other car that I would be interested in right now would be a GT500 CF, or a new Porsche GT3.

That's if you get a GT500 at MSRP. Dealers here still want $25K+ for an ADM for a GT500. I got offered MSRP for a 992.2S with a MT, but also a 6 mos. wait just for an allocation. Shocking how much a 992.2S costs now. I bought my 997S new back in 2008 for just $80k.

The same thing will happen on the 911. Most dealers sold out for the next year. Crazy times.

I've got both a procharged 19 mustang gt and a 19 z06. The vette is a really nice car but the stang is my baby and will gap the z all day. But they are both really great cars. Lucky enough to have both.

that looks amazing. one of my favorite modern cars period. the C8 simply does nothing for me though. ive seen plenty in person too. your car looks great, but id still take a gt500. unfortunately this is a decision i wont be forced to make in the near future, so for now ill stick with enjoying my GT. ha.

I agree 100%.

Definitely huge monies for the Z07 car. I'm thinking the Z07 car with the carbon ceramic brakes and all those goodies, probably between 130K- 150k. šŸ˜³ That's way outta my pay grade. lol
I love the GT500 car as well.
Man, for 130-150k I would have my eye on an AMG GT.
In my mind, trying to justify a GT500 when it's a modified $35k car with the same Ford build quality would be a tough pill for me to swallow (if I could afford one). My mind works the same way for the Z06 and the Hellcat. I'll get hate for that but just being honest. I'm sure they are all fun as he** to drive.

I was also considering a new M4, but same thing at least a 6 mos. wait for an allotment and best I could do is MSRP. I am staying put in the Mustang, it such a pleasure to drive. Its just once you start owning PCars and BMW M Cars you get a little spoiled.

I am of the same mindset. For MSRP the GT500 is a great deal, when you start getting involved with the ADMs and a CF GT500 and price tags well over 100k, it changes things. The AMG GT Coupe is being discontinued by Merc, not to mention no manual tranny available. Not to mention the one that is really fast bases at $153K.

I'd be stopping by to ask, or see....did they do this to maybe one car so far and then decided to put this kit together? Numerous cars? None? Any quirks or issues (there always is)...?
don't know anything right now, but I know people that have had work done on their cars! no complaints and they always have about 20 cars sitting around waiting on parts. It's snowing right now, when the weather gets better, will stop by and find out everything for you if you want? Please follow up with me, I have CRS you know I'm old....

Iā€™ve always had this problem too lolā€¦always justifying that next little price bump! Next thing you know youā€™ll be in a senna.

I love the AMG GT, thereā€™s one local, heā€™s modded and absolutely flies.

The other side to your view is passing an exotic in something much cheaper, might not be as fancy but itā€™s functional and works. Many people donā€™t want to give a point by to a mustang or camaro, but they donā€™t always have a choice, and thatā€™s kinda fun.

Iā€™ll never know what it feels like to get passed while Iā€™m driving an exotic though, so no viewpoint there haha

Right. Driving an exotic would come with its own headaches, with ppl trying to race you and the good (and bad) attention those cars get. Some of those cars have quite the depreciation, I'd probably only buy a used one even if I had money. A friend of mine has an AMG that when new would have just cracked $100k. He picked it up for low 40s, with low mileage and in good shape. That's loaded GT territory and I guarantee it would smoke my car.

One thing I will say about our Fords, repairs or replacement parts are not going to be quite as expensive.
