Hello everyone! I recently sold my 2017 F80 M3 and acquired this beautiful machine. A little context, I wanted a sportier car that had two doors since we have a family SUV that does hauler duties. So it didn't quite make sense to keep the M3. Nevertheless it was a wonderful car that did the dual duty work quite well. It took me 4 months to find this car. I was cross shopping it with a M2C at the time. But what won me over to the Shelby was the driver engagement and of course the highlight of the car. The Voodoo motor which produces 527 horses at a 8,250 rpm!!! Nothing in the current BMW M lineup, with exception to the E92 M3, comes close to this much theatre. The issue I had with the M2C is the nerfed S55 engine and it's super bouncy ride. My M3 had better damping and it was on M Performance coil overs. It didn't help the fact that the M2C was a pretty heavy car despite it’s ideal form factor.

I used to track my M3 at Thunderhill a lot and it has never given me a headache and looking forward to doing the same thing with my GT350. Glad to be a part of the community!

Welcome and congrats. I was similar to you when I bought mine. First Mustang and first domestic car owned. I too came out of a German performance car but definitely not looking back. These cars are just so well sorted for a factory vehicle.

I hear ya. What's ironic is the F80 M3 is not as well sorted compared to the GT350. Disabling TC on the M3 feels like the car will slip away from under me. While the GT350 with TC off feels so planted. I wonder what chassis tuning Ford did that BMW is not able to do? They've (BMW) truly lost their way.

Welcome! I made the EXACT SAME move from 2017 F80 M3 to 2019 GT350. The M3 was a really good car, but the drama of the 350 bring a smile to my face in a way that the M3 never could.

Nice! What kind of car can you get at this pricing point? For me it really boiled down to the M2C vs GT350. Of course my BMW (I was pretty active member of the Sacramento Valley BMWCCA) buddy's poked fun at me for buying a Mustang lol. I tell them the F8x is a fast appliance while the GT350 is the soulful car. You can imagine I ruffled a few feathers with that statement.

Congrats! Beautiful car! I've heard it before, BMW being an appliance. Not bad, but not a mustang for sure!.
