USDM 2015 Mustang GT Performance Pack 401A Premium (6 Speed Manual)

C5E4AFBA-4A1B-4F35-B1E6-B596B66035E12.jpeg

My Journey with the Ford Mustang started off in Arizona, it was love at first sight. There I was waiting to test drive a manual mustang GT after driving a base 5.0 auto. When it pulled up it was the same color you see here and it had the performance package and a leather interior. The power was instant, and the sound was awesome. The hardest part for me was barely any aftermarket was available when I got the car. That is not the case today, the aftermarket had plenty of time to catch up. These mods were accumulated over time and I am still making it more personalized to this day. Please enjoy the journey as I continue to do what I love and share my passion with you all.

Looks amazing :) I'm going with Front ET26 to save all the studs and spacers. How much camber you are running upfront ?

-1.3, and thatā€™s the maximum I can go with the 25mm spacers, I tried -3.3 but was rubbing the strut, figured out it was too much anyway lol
The arp studs were $120, and the 25mm spacer was $160 both from OP mustang. Totally worth it trust me! The ability to rotate tires is a dealbreaker for me

I was rubbing wheel and tire on the strut, only ended up with 2 sessions and my brakes were not up to the task. Got some steering shake and had to cool down a little. Definetly not getting a track alignment next time. We reset the alignment to factory and somehow the fronts looks better than before as it doesnā€™t stick out as much we also did a tire rotation. Next track day I will leave the alignment as is.

I envy you for the chance to drive on a real F1 track. The poke on this wheels seams a bit much but overall great job with the car. Looks stunning. If I understand correctly this is Steeda Pro-Actions+BMR 083 right ? How are the shocks ? You happy with the body roll. How is the balance under/oversteer ?

Haha thanks! Yeah Iā€™m lucky itā€™s just a 20 minute drive from home. If I add 8mm spacers in the rear it should balance it out. These are the Ford Racing Track shocks, they are great really sporty, some under steer in turn 3 when my line is off and turn 5 is very tricky but if I can improve my skill the car has a lot more potential in it šŸ˜‹ I did everything all at once but I went on track while stock and I was on the edge of its grip on the turns, now with the wide wheels from Apex and Michelin tires combined with the suspension upgrades the car is so well planted.

THAT was your 'track' alignment? Where in the hell did you get the idea that kind of Toe was acceptable? ZERO man!!

2.5-2.8 camber is a much better place to start. For rear 1.5 to 1.8 and up to 2 if you must. And next time make sure you can put at least 4mm gap between the wheel lip and your shock. You were chiseling into your shock body which is a massive NO NO. This should have been readily discernable sitting on the alignment rack. You dial in 'big' camber at the plate, not at the spindle.

Why are your front wheels sitting so far out?

You ALWAYS set link length when the car is on it's wheels. I can't tell if you have 3-hole or 5-hole front bar but I would start with rear at full soft, and front at 2nd from full soft (if 5-hole) and try again.

And why do you have bolt-on spacers on the rear hubs? 11 et52 is where it's supposed to be.

Zero toe is actually not great for the car turning. I drive on track with -0.2 Total Toe Out and it's amazing how the car corners. it's wrongly in this forum that people think 0 total toe is good for the track I see this all the time ... So annoying sure his is a bit much if math is correct around -0.7 total toe out but overall you need some toe out infront in order for the car to corner. As well as you need some total toe in on the back in order for the back to start fallowing the rear.

ok, fine. but 0.2 Total toe isn't remotely close to 0.76.

I couldn't agree with you more. The alignment guy was like I can either push them all the way in or nothing at all, when I asked him why he said because if its somewhere in the middle they won't be even as in one side will be more cambered than the other. The rear spacer was removed when I installed the wheels. Yeah I actually heard some noise pulling it out of the alignment rack and he said no its fine. I'm really pissed off my shocks and wheels got damaged from this shop's lack of knowledge and experience. I will definitely try to find a professional next time. Also good idea with the sway bars I'll try that out! Thanks

Car was steering like a toy I knew something was off, I've fixed the alignment for street use now, the problem is I can't find any race alignment shops in my area, once I do I'll do a track day again
