"North American roads don't really have corners..." ????? LOL really enjoying being a part of the 2nd 'world car' from Ford....(think the Escort might have been the 1st, not sure). Now let me go find one of the 2 or 3 corners we have in the US.... :cheers:

Glad to see Mustangs in Africa, welcome!

I'm betting British Top gear was the source for the "American roads don't have corners" tidbit. They think all our cars handle like a 77 Caddie.

The Cortina was one of the many Ford products not sold in the US. I think it was built by Ford UK. There were quite a few like this Sierra's (some made it to the US as the Mekur XR4ti), Mondeos (these crossed over with the Contour briefly), Cosworth and RS Escorts, etc.
