If I ever buy an EV, I will just let sound as is.
I want mine to sound like the late-1980s thyristor packs on Japanese high-speed commuter trains.

In my 40 years of life, I have yet to see any major company listen to it's customers that only buy a specialty product that is only 1% of their profits.
Apparently, you don't have the slightest clue why companies would make a halo product.

saw one on the I5 freeway in SW Washington about a week ago. It was a blueish grayish color. I dont like suvs or the like, so didnt like this one either. It really had some narrow pizza cutter tires on it, like a lot of the other ev cars. Not impressed. it had manufacturers plates on it.

Put that drivetrain in an S650 and you have my attention.

As it is, I still can't get over an Mustang SUV, no matter how fast it is.

This.

If you want a fast SUV, its name won't matter.

If you don't want an SUV, its name isn't going to change that.

Exactly on both points made.

It’s an abomination and has absolutely nothing at all to do with a Mustang or THE Mustang’s heritage.

You all wait until you go to your 2021 Car Shows and these things are sitting next to your Mustangs....

Hi all, videos on Mustang Mach-E are slowly coming out. I see Alex on Autos one of the first reviewing at least the exterior/interior (non-driving), I'm guessing we'll see more very soon.

Alex's link here: link.

I have no pony in this race (pun intended), I'm just curious what people think. I also know this has not much to do with 6th gen, but there's no other forums AFAIK. Sorry for opening up this can of worms, am really curious what this community (arguably very heated and emotive about the Mustang) thinks of this borrowing the nametag.

As I've stated on this forum before...

Attaching the Mustang name to this crossover thing is a huge slap in the face to owners of the real Mustang. Many of whom have supported the brand for years. It caters to those that want a Mustang but are unwilling to sacrifice a higher driving position and cargo space.
The Mach E is like a hand job, it's not what you really want but you'll take one. The next SUV, CUV or POS that comes out with the Mustang name attached to it should be called the Ford Mustang Hand Job. Or HJ for short.

I think it's a very nice car with a lot of great features. It will probably be pretty fast for a big car if you option it correctly. That said, it really isn't a Mustang.

If Ford keeps going the way they have been, I can see them axing the S650 Mustang in favor of the Mach-E. If ever there has been a company that is keen to chop off it's nose to spite it's face it is Ford.

I think it's awful, spits in the face of the heritage of the name which was a big part of why I bought the car (as opposed to other competitors). Further, Ford seem to be paying absolutely no attention to the negative feedback, they just keep putting it out there pitching "it's fast"...

It may be a fine utility vehicle, if they dropped the pony off the front and just called it the "Mach-E" actual Mustang enthusaists would (likely) calm down while I would dare say most of the fans of the "Momstang" wouldn't even care, they'd buy it and life would go on (see several discussions on the same topic on the Mach-E forum... majority response seems they could care less about the name).
