IMSA GS (GT-4) cars are targeted somewhere between 400-450 horsepower. A race prepped Coyote should make that for days. I attached a copy of the latest Balance of Performance stats. They limit amount of fuel and other details to supposedly equalize the cars.

You would think that a race car would have a lot more hp then a stock version anyone can get. Funny that my car is faster than a race car.

Not When you have a spec series and BOP adjustments.

Also...you car may be "faster", but I can almost guarantee the lap times would be different.

The GT4 weighs in at 3,318lbs. Your car is at least 400lbs heavier (assuming you haven't stripped out the interior and switched to CF body parts).

The engine in that McLaren must be a real dog. The 570S GT4 weighs 176 pounds less than the Mustang, carries 11 more liters of fuel, sits an inch lower to the ground and has way better aero.

The McLaren 'dog' engine is limited to about 50% throttle.

But you're a way slower driver, so it doesn't really matter.

interesting they use the stock airbox with the sound dealy, whether or not that is part of the regulation is unclear

It's 100% part of the homologation. They definitely have to run it that way.

Anything you see on these cars is there for a purpose or because they have to use it per rules.

I find it to be difficult to find the finishing order for all cars in the race. Is there a place I can look up the finish order for all cars in the race?
