Take a look at this what I've just found. And more particulary, take a look at the side mirrors and say what you're thinking about that.

I'm happy for them to get the GT350, but a bit disapointed for us ... :frusty:

Yup.. pretty decent markup. Based on the MSRP of mine, and including the 19% vat and 10% import duties, you end up at about 72K euro. So the 10-20k markup is significant, but if they sell...

The problem with the markups originates partly already in the US. You cannot buy a GT350 over there without a 6-10K markup, even if you are a European import business and buy regularly.

72k is a "fair" price.

If I check the GT350's available in France, you'll end up at over 110k with import, taxe and registration.

Things is, even though you can buy an Ecoboost and a GT for that kind of money, I can't help to think it's worth the price bump compared to the GT. Probably since the tax in Flanders (in the French part of Belgium it's different) is INSANE on the GT but around the same on the GT as on the GT350. Might as well go all the way if you're paying the insane tax anyway. But I just might be mad.

According to various ads on Mobile.de the lowest price in EU ex import tax, ex import procedure costs and ex sales tax is $60.500, which today is 54.316 euro.
Import tax is 10%, so the total goes to 59.757. To that you have to add your country's sales tax. In case of Belgium that is 21% so total comes to 72.304 euro.

Everything above that is coverage of handling fees (customs + tuv/registration) and margin.
