Are you referring to the OP's car or the blown MoPar? I was commenting about the OP's car. Even supercharged and pulling into or backing up inclines doesn't cause me to spin the tires.

I think we both agree that OP's needs tires........unless there is something very wrong that is causing the spinning of tires without actually overusing the accelerator.

He's backing in up what looks like an incline. I spun quite a few times backing up my driveway when I first moved in before I figured out to just keep a bit of momentum.

They have a 30k mile warranty, 15k for those of us with stock PP1 stagger. But I agree, mine are gonna last quite a while too. Probably have 16k on them and plenty of life last I looked.

Wish discount tire would let me test out the tires lmao. I just need to go one mile…
We are sorry to hear you are having traction issues. Although we can't make any promises, we would be happy to put you in touch with the right people to see if this can happen. PM on the way.

@tdstuart I wonder if a previous owner installed a Pedal Commander or something that changes the throttle mapping?

Other than that I'm curious about the age of the tires. Have you checked the date codes?

I doubt it the car was completely stock and it was a middle aged woman who drove it.

How would I check the codes? They claimed they were new when I bought the car (7 months ago)

Did she park it in a rickety old garage in Pasadena?

My new rear tires are 29.5" tall.
You get any rubbing or have to do any mods to run them? Stock ride hight? I feel like the pp1 rears at 27.7 fill the rear pretty well already.

No rubbing, used Steeda's 3/8" coil spring spacers.

I know it’s an old post, how did this ever turn out? A 17” rim and 27 tall tire on it will yield a taller sidewall, better traction.

Tried some MPSS in 305/35R19, they were a lot better than the Nitto G2s but still spun. Got some 305/35R19 nt555 r2 and they hook a lot better although my diff bushings started failing so traction was getting bad because of that. Got my 0-60 down to mid to low 4s, car needs a converter to be able to launch harder.

I really want to go to a 17” or 18” rim and try some MT ET street Rs but will have to see if the budget will allow it as going through ~$400 tires every 5k miles when heavily daily driven is a pain

"Currently, I have 275 width Nitto NT555 G2 tires on a 20" rim"

Here is your problem.

Use a wider, better tire. 305 Conti ECS2 for example.

You about 2 years too late on that suggestion.

Well, my comment might save someone from making the mistake I made when I bought those tires.
