Hi guys, I have a 2018 mustang ecoboost convertible with the 10 speed automatic transmission. Recently I have been getting a metal on metal screech that lasts not even half a second randomly while driving. The screech can only be heard when the top is down and normally happens once I take off from a stop light. The screech usually happens right before the car shifts from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd, but also happens randomly while driving in any gear. I just recently have changed the brake calipers, pads and rotors, the screech was happening both before and after the brake job.
Mods:
Hot and cold side charge pipes
big turbo
Mishimoto intercooler
Turbosmart blow off valve
Mishimoto catch can
Catted mishimoto downpipe
Flowmaster Y pipe
Roush Axelback exhaust
Airiad 3" intake and dry air filter box
Can anyone tell me which direction to look? I don't want to think it could be the transmission since it does not happen on every shift. The tranny oil temp is fine as well as the engine oil temp.
If you guys think a video with a sound clip might help, I will try to get one.
