ok, this does not bode well for Mustang fans.

What level of stupidity do you need to have in order to be driving so poorly that you lose control and crash THROUGH someone’s home!!!!

Is it me or this guys has a diff cooler, 20” wheels and an aftermarket exhaust system? So do you think showing off had anything to do with it? To flip over, the car must have tripped on the now loose rug.

Best of luck guys.

This happens, IMHO, because when you get off the accelerator, the throttle body Drive By Wire (telemetry) doesn't close until it calculates 8 Billion different things before it closes the throttle body.

Remember the olden days when the engine revved AS you gave it gas, it didn't calculate the death toll, the traction rate, or anything else. Then when it just started to spin and you got out of it, or slowly released it, it stopped spinning and looking for targets and didn't keep the Spurs to it until the carb calculated that your foot was on the brake, the air fuel ratio was 1:280, it just stopped fuel flow.

I can play with the throttle now, just a little, rev it up to about 6k, in gear, and NEVER have the converter act like it was gonna commit.

Cars DEMAND three control hard points or hard CONNECTIONS: BRAKE, ACCELERATOR and STEERING.

You and I can Engineer until the cows come home, at the end of the day, operation by wire in ANY System that requires a Human Interaction Device, in which a human life CAN become endangered, needs hard connections.

Throttle control by wire is for insurance purposes, to tell if you were "Hot Rodding" and if they will pay for your wrecked car or not, Speed Racer!

by-wire is a lot cheaper to make even though the up-front costs are very expensive - but do it 'once' and the marginal cost is nothing. The safety-nazis can trivially put a potentiometer to detect whether or not someone was Hot Rodding or otherwise so that's not why it was invented.

By wire makes it easier to comply with the emissions regulations.
With a cable throttle, when you step hard on the gas pedal the throttle opens up fully in a fraction of a second, so the carburettor or ECU must enrich the mixture immediately, otherwise the engine would stutter. With an electronic throttle the ECU can open it gradually, so that it can ensure a perfectly stoichiometric mixture all the time. Good for polar bears, bad for driving pleasure.

Damn, if I'm seeing that right, he went through the entire basement. Looks like you can see all the way out through the other side. The epitome of dumbassery!

Unfortunately, with enough speed/momentum and road angles, anything is possible when it comes to a wreck like that or others that are similar.

Although not a Mustang, this happened up here in NJ back in November 2019 - not first floor damage, but a Porsche launching from street level, across a 4 lane highway and blasting through the 2nd floor of a brick building:

These are not high 14 second cars anymore. Trap speeds just in the quarter are 20 mph higher than just 20 years ago on GT mustangs. A lot of people driving/owning these cars do not belong in them...

The house foundation is effed. The car............most of it will buff out. (In his dreams). Proof that not all humans should own a muscle car.

The car it too fast for some people.
It's this, and not throttle response, drive-by-wire, FI, emissions, gearing, demonic forces, ghosts, UFOs ...

Lots of performance, for a relatively low entry price. I've had cars with all sorts of various operational quirks, little-to-no nannies, 700+ HP that came on like a switch, driven to track events on R-comps, and I've never had an issue.

No one has put forward the idea that it may have been intentional.
I've personally seen a moron try to drive through someone's garage. They didn't make it on the first try, backed up and tried again.
This idiot just picked a more effective projectile...

Would anyone actually admit they lived in a placed named Hicksville?
There's nothing wrong with hicksville.
It sounds worse than it is. As long as Sears is still there.
