Not sure what BG*Blowfish means. Can you explain?
BG is a superb lubricant, that came to light around the '80s. Started using it to smooth out a clunky Harley 4sp transmission. It would be referred to as 'notchy' in today's lingo.

The BlowFish is an aftermarket bracket that mounts to the transmission case. It provides a means for the shifter to be attached to the transmission case.

With that, the movement of the drive train and shifter move as one.

For 2019+ yeah, but the few revisions before that they did have a bit of a higher failure rate. Nothing I'd call crazy though.
Like, the MT82 in my 2012GT?

Or the MT82 in my 2016GT?

Always stay in the class - going solo ain't worth it - esp. in this matter

Upon further review and research:
1. You can't join the class action unless you are a CA resident. And the CA case isn't going well for plaintiffs. Partially dismissed, but more to come.
2. The Stern Law-led case, which any MT-82 owner or former owner can join, appears to not have been filed yet. Seemingly only approach for non-CA residents.
3. Indeed those who say you will get pennies on the dollar are correct based on the history of similar settlements that are published. No lawyer, including Stern, will have a prospective conversation about what might be gotten - not even about past cases that they handled. So the value prop is 'trust us'. Lame.
4. Sites like this one prove again that the internet is no place to have a serious convo, as knuckleheads outnumber thoughtful people about 8 to 1.

Right. So why is there both a class action and this single-at-a-time lawyer doing outbound marketing? They've won other suits against Ford and another car maker. Has no one else been contacted? I can't be the first.
Because anyone can file a suit. The three conditions are necessary to WIN the suit.

Stern Law, the non-CA suit firm, has a 40 year history in class cases like this, including against Ford & Nissan. They wouldn’t waste their time if there wasn’t a case.

Sure they would, it costs them very little to throw a bunch of stuff at the wall and see what sticks. A 40 year history of this means they make their entire living off of the ones they get to stick. Not getting you results, getting enough results to get back their minimal expenses, then their profit and finally you come last if at all. On top of that, you have no stake in this anyway as you have no proof of a financial injury.

Can you add some details about what you changed from stock?
Removed stock shifter, replaced it with MGW X-Spec, short handle, classic 8-ball style knob. Also replaced stock clutch spring and perch with Steeda spring and perch.
