Is this normal for this trans? Tried to shift at 7250 and got locked out.

Very impressed with the car overall though, hit 140 in 4th gear no problem and had 2000rpm left. My charger is out of breath at 135

Here’s another question, does my 2022 Gt PP1 have no lift shift? Seems to be a lot of conflicting info out there about it.

I had pretty bad lockout on 2nd gear shifts before my shifter. I added an MGW and now you can grip and rip all day at redline without lockout.

Good luck with your lockout issue. BTW, I don't think your car has no lift shift.

An N2MB Wot Box will certainly give you NLS capability if your car doesn’t have it. It also allows engagement of the 2 step throughout the entire rpm range, whereas the factory launch control limits you to 5500 rpm.

This was my fix….
I did change out the OE plastic reverse lockout collar to a Barton aluminum one to reduce the NVH.
NVH now only occurs at WOT and doesn’t bother me; kinda like it.

Sounds like you have a perfectly "normal" MT-82, had/have the same issue with my Bullitt to some extent even after doing the shifter, transmission mount and motor mounts, all Steeda, between those mods and adjusting my driving style it has become a non-issue until it's time for a clutch as folks say that will cure it...

Confirmed by ford through their chat feature that the eco boost and Mach 1 have no lift shift but the GT does not

You dont have to spend $600 on a shifter, i installed the FTB bracket, mounts the stock shifter to the trans. Once you fix the mount the stock shifter isnt too bad. $100. Braided clutch line, change the fluid to bg synchroshift. Shift lock out is gone until things heat up on the track. Street is fine. And i wouldnt call it lock out its more like a delay, after the first couple laps i start to notice it, you just have to slow down the shifts.

Which one do you guys like? The FTB says I have to remove the NVH block on top of the trans which isn’t the biggest deal but at that point I’d just spent the $350 extra and get a full shifter

I would definitely do the BG Syncro Shift 2 transmission fluid that stuff is amazing, makes the trans shift buttery smooth. A short shifter would help the shifts be more precise, the stock has a lot of slop. As far as shifter mounts I have tried a couple and they all gave a good amount of vibration/NVH. I didn't like that so I removed them. Braided clutch line would be another good thing to add.
