So here's the story.... a few days ago I hit a pot hole and dented the front passenger wheel. Took it to the dealership and they said I need a new rim. The original mrr wheels I bought them from one. I decided to order the new one from American muscle because they are closer to me and it would arrive the next day. I got the wheel today and I didn't even open the box I just took it to the dealership. I picked up the car this evening and when I came home I cleaned the car and checked out the new wheel to make sure it's good.
I saw that the finish on some part of the wheel wasn't smooth. As if there was dirt particles when it was getting powder coated, and I noticed that it was chipped on the edge.
Regarding the chip I don't know if it was like that when it shipped from American muscle, damaged during shipping or if the dealership caused it. But I definitely knew that the reason for the finish wasn't smooth doesn't have to do with the dealership. It's a brand new rim that I got today!
I called American muscle and explained exactly what happened as I wrote in this post...... they said they couldn't help me even if there is problems with the finish because the edge of the rim has a chip in it. I tried to reason with them that yes the chip could be due to the dealership or the shipping or maybe them but I honestly can't blame no one for that..... but the finish not being 100% they should at least take responsibility for that but they won't and now I'm out 350 dollars !
