2018 Ecoboost PP with 10 spd auto. I have a little over 67,000 miles on it. Hand calculated mpg for the life of the car is 25.84. I keep track of this in a spreadsheet. I’ve never reset one of the trip odometers. According to it, the life time mpg is 26.9. The car typically reads about 1.0-1.2 mpg higher than my hand calculated every tank. I use either the Sport+ or Track mode 20-30% of the time.

Haven't been paying attention to MPG while driving. But I drive mostly around town with brief runs on the freeway, and I'm averaging around 15.8 MPG. I don't speed (much), but I do like taking off quickly.
I’m similar, 15.5-16.5 is pretty typical for me but I’m a lot of stop and go most days. I did recently take a few 60-80 mile round trippers that are basically all highway miles and I got 26-27 mpg. For the first 13 years of my career I drove 95+ miles per day to and from work so I was always driving more fuel efficient cars. In the last 5 years, my office moved downtown so I’m able to take the train in, so my focus has been SPG instead of MPG 😁

Challenged myself on the way to work this morning in the new GT and got 30.2mpg. (It's mostly highway, crowded, and moving at 54mph, so...6th gear and snooze...)

What's your mpg high and low score?

(I suppose we should probably mark whether the low score was on a track/drag strip--almost seems like cheating!)
Best I’ve gotten babying my car was 14.5 accelerating slow and taking the highway at 75-80 for 30 miles a day. 3.55 gears
Computer said 18mpg it’s always very off.

I can average up to 27.7 in the summer. Fall/winter temps have dropped it down to 27.3. Most cars I can get 4-5 mpg above the highway number as my average but light suburban use drops it like a rock.

Interestingly using 87 I can only get ~25.5 best case. Picked up nearly 2 mpg on 93

Huh!?

I don't know if I should be genuinely surprised, but I've always had the impression that boosted cars (especially S/Cs) would start dropping into the 18's and 19's MPG 😳

I drove from Saint Louis to Indiana for my Supercharger install at Brenspeed. On the way up I got 24.7 and 22.7 on the way back. That's running around 75-78. It's an amazing little engine.

All freeway at a reasonable speed and boost won't make much of a difference. I pull 85+ the majority of the time I spend on the freeway and still get 22+ on road trips. Mix in more city driving and mileage drops. Normal commute is 40/60 city/ highway and I usually get 16-18mpgs calculated. But I also beat on it a lot more during my daily drive.

It’s still mostly calculated by vacuum/load. Has been since the late 80’s.
Actually, since these cars have returnless fuel systems, all it would take is a sensor to accurately measure the amount of fuel passing through the sensor and calculating the mpg from distance traveled. In the old days when the fuel systems had a return line to the tank, it wouldn't be as easy (you would need 2 fuel flow sensors, one on the supply line and one on the return line which would be too costly for them to implement).

27 mpg driving to Daytona, 10.5 "driving" around the track, 27 on the way home. The 10.5 would have been lower but there were some yellow flag laps in there. ;)
