There has not been a magazine/TV test of an A10 car that I'm aware of. Please correct me if I'm wrong and provide a link.



You're right, but a showroom stock car did an 11.83 :thumbsup:
Well we can only use magazine times so.....

The 11.83 car also had its tire pressures adjusted = not showroom stock!

Yawn, auto cars. Makes the car sound like a CVT when there's this many gears.

What are the respective speeds at redline in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th gears for these cars?

I hear the Camaro's gears are very long, is it the case that the Mustang needs an extra shift to reach 115MPH?

I hear the Camaro's gears are very long, is it the case that the Mustang needs an extra shift to reach 115MPH?
Mustang doesn’t need to shift to fifth gear now. The stock 15-17 pp car had a fuel cutoff at 4th gear close to 7000 rpm with 112 113 mph. The new ones should hit the quarter mile mark on 4th gear within the power and rpm band (7500 rpm). Camaro has to shift to 4th gear as the max speed on 3rd gear is 110 mph, but it is a straight down shift from 3rd. What made the old mustang slower was going from 4th to 5th gear right before the traps!
