Just thought I would give everyone a heads up on some motive brake bleeder adapter info that I just came across.

I am not sure about you all, but the motive brake bleeder kit is the best way I know of to bleed/flush brake systems, it works great. I read on another site that the motive GM adaptor is what is needed for the GT350, but there is more to the story that you all should know before ordering an adaptor. I read the GM 3 tab adaptor is what you need for the GT350, but that is only partially true. I was happy to read this because I also have a Z06 and I already have the GM 3 tab adaptor for this car that is supposed to fit, but when I went to test fit it this weekend it did not fit. My car ('17 GT350R) has a threaded brake fluid reservoir and the 3 tab adapter did not fit.

I called motive and they confirmed that Ford changed the brake fluid reservoir on the '17 350 to a threaded cap design, while the '16 350 uses the 3 tab design. If you have a '15 or '16 350 you need the 3 tab GM motive adaptor, but if you have a '17 you will need the Euro style (1109) threaded adaptor. The Gentleman I spoke with at motive seemed very up to speed on his info, but I will confirm fitment when mine arrives later this week. Anyway, I thought this info may help a fellow member from ordering the wrong adaptor for their GT350(R).

To ensure you order the proper adapter I suggest everyone verify if their reservoir is the threaded or three tab design first and order the appropriate adapter accordingly just to be safe.

I have this one, I can't get it to seal at all.

0109 appears to be the number of the bleeder bottle with the 1109 adapter. I'll give that adapter a try.

That is not correct. I bought it and it didnt fit.

109 (full kit) or 1109(just the threaded adapter) is what you need.

The euro bleeder works perfectly on a 17' GT350. I just checked. The bleeder is more than 10 years old (got it for my BMWs). Here is a picture of it:

Thanks for clarifying guys. Looks like the motive guy may have been misinformed. Can anyone confirm they have a 3 tab reservoir 350 or are they all threaded regardless of year model. Sorry if I caused any confusion.

Pretty sure they're all threaded. All of my recent Fords are.

My 16 GT350 uses the same threaded adapter as my P Cars. It is NOT 3 tab.
