All the brothers did. My best friend in high schools 3 uncles used to be on the Spilotro brothers burglary team. The Panczko brothers. They made a book about those guys.

That's interesting - did the dentist brother (who ID's the remains of his mobster brothers) also go there?

For those who don't know, they were featured in the movie Casino - Joe Pesci played one of the brothers under a fictional name.

Pesci played Tony, he was Nicky in the movie, one of my all time favorites. Casino and Goodfellas, both Scorsese, were supposed to be fairly realistic.

Quite true. The character Pesci played in Goodfellas was my cousin Tommy in reality.
Pretty much as it happened other than naming J. Gotti as the one who whacked Tommy.

Another good book on it is The Lufthansa heist by Henry Hill.

I already finished "wiseguy" it was fantastic. Casino is on my nightstand right now actually, haha. The org crime class i had was taught by Markus funk and agent maseth- best class by far taught at Loyola. Really set me on my desire to be an 1811.
